Iguana Cafe Celebrates Fifth Customer of 2015
Local downtown Tucson bar and cafe is celebrating its fifth customer of the year. “We are very grateful for any kind of business during these dark times,” said the man at the bar claiming to be the owner of the Iguana Cafe. “Things really started to pick up when The District closed.”
Customers are left with different fewer options since Gio Taco, The District Tavern, and Saint House closed within the past year.
“No one can beat our prices on domestic and foreign beers. We don’t serve that craft beer crap all them uppity tightwads want,” said another patron looking for her favorite Brooks & Dunn tune at the jukebox. “We have the best tacos and karaoke night this side of the I-10,” she said before “Neon Moon” started playing through the speakers.
“We are just glad that some folks decide to go against the trends and try something new to them,” the alleged bar owner said. He refused to give his name for the interview because he doesn’t want all the credit.
“We all sort of pitch in and help keep this place up and running,” he said after taking another swig of his Bud Light out of a can. “Iguana Cafe is like that show “Cheers” but with Mexicans and Sun Tran bus riders.”
