This one got delayed because my damn computer was acting weird and closed my browser windows, still, wasn’t that hard to think up stuff, seen this pair before and it’s very cute, Muku with a cinnamon roll is always gold.
What they first thought of each other: They’d seen each other around once in a while but it wasn’t until a day the school set up for the 78th class to meet and chat with their upperclassmen. Chiaki saw Mukuro kind of hiding off to the side and tried to talk with her, she could pretty quickly tell that Mukuro was a shy, lonely, and nice girl that she wanted to get to know better and try to help. Mukuro was pretty struck by her kind upperclassman, though she was a bit odd and she didn’t quiet get the video game thing.
When they realized they like the other: It took a while for the both of them, they started out hanging out a bit, with Chiaki trying to get Mukuro to relax and have fun, playing games, they started to hang out more and more, Chiaki even just hanging out as Mukuro worked out (not much gaming progress done that day, hot and sweaty Muku is a major distraction) and idling chatting or playing. Mukuro started crushing on her pretty quickly but didn’t really realize until one day when they and some friends were at the beach, with both girls wearing bikinis, Chiaki was playing a dating sim and while Muku was watching she started to realize how the narration describing someone with a huge crush could apply to her, blushing, fidgeting, nerves, being very happy around Chiaki without knowing why, feeling more relaxed, longing sighs, not being able to keep her eyes off of Chiaki’s bikini. When Chiaki asked her if she was okay since she was staring and looked pretty red Mukuro frantically excused herself and practically buried herself in the sand, embarrassed and with no idea how to hand the whole thing. Gaming also helped Chiaki realize, one day on a ‘date’ (as some of the others called it) while Mukuro was playing a shooting game Chiaki was just looking at her, how cool, focused, and beautiful she looked, but she also thought about how she liked the cute and awkward Mukuro with the blush that really brought out her freckles, and when she was excitedly talking about her interests, or was just relaxed, or intensively focused on working out… and that she just plain liked Mukuro. The rest of that day was a bit awkward, Chiaki being a bit more quiet and physically affectionate to Mukuro’s delight, embarrassment, and confusion.
How they got together: Chiaki tried to ask Mukuro out a few times, but between Mukuro’s awkwardness, lack of self-esteem, and Chiaki not being the best at this sort of thing. It wasn’t until one day while Mukuro was feeling real bad after some taunting and insults from Junko and Chiaki was trying to comfort her that Mukuro got the message, with Chiaki making damn sure that Mukuro knew that what Junko said was wrong, and that she shouldn’t listen to her, letting Mukuro know what she thought of her and just to be really sure this time giving her a hug and kiss on the cheek. It took a bit for Mukuro to believe it, but a little more hugging and cuddling convinced her, though Chiaki fell asleep during the cuddle session and Mukuro didn’t want to move and wake her up so enjoyed snuggling with her sleepy girlfriend.
First Date and how it went: They went on a simple walk in a park with some gaming and lunch at a restaurant, poor Mukuro was incredibly nervous to start with, really overthinking what to wear and how to act with Chiaki being mostly chill and trying to get Muku to relax and just enjoy the date, a bit of hand holding helped with that. After relaxing it went very well, with Muku carrying Chiaki while she played on a handheld console at one point, you know, just so she didn’t trip or anything, Muku totally didn’t just want to princess carry her girlfriend.
Who initiates contact most: Chiaki, sometimes just by leaning against Mukuro for some warmth and contact and to invite Muku to do what she wanted, other times more active hugs and kisses, and a lot of falling asleep against her soldier girl
Best/Weirdest gifts for each: Mukuro has tried once in a while to give some grander romantic gifts, has a romantic heart, one of her best and weirdest was a couple of years after graduation getting Chihiro and a couple of others to make and program a custom video game to use to help propose to Chiaki (she said yes). Chiaki has a pretty good record with gifts, mostly focusing on helping Muku relax, paintball gun matches for Muku to blow of steam safely, relaxing games, an adorable wolf hoodie.
Favorite couple activity: Not sure if it actually counts but Mukuro loves carrying Chiaki to bed after she falls asleep, she just loves getting to take care of her gamer gf and she’s so cute when asleep. Chiaki’s favorite is just playing games with Mukuro, especially co-op games, just loves to see Mukuro relaxed and enjoying herself.
What the others thought of them: Everyone was pretty surprised when they said that they were dating, they thought they were already dating for a good 3 months, despite that confuse they were delighted for them, and gently teased them often, especially Mukuro since she just reacted in such cute ways
How often they kiss Muku’s freckles: Plenty often, especially when Muku is feeling down, or Chiaki just feels like telling her she loves her.
Vague night activities description (maybe): Bedroom games can be fun too
Daily routine as adults: They have a more relaxed life, Mukuro is a lot more active, doing some consulting work with security and defense companies, Chiaki does some video game live streams, pro play, but her favorite times are lazy days at home with her wife and adopted child, they’re not your typical family but they wouldn’t have it any other way
Other: Okay so I love the idea of Chiaki livestreaming games and Muku just poking her head in once and a while with the audience being curious about her and with time she appears more and more and the audience just loves her and ships them hard before they get together, just throwing that out there.
