Milestone Monday
On this day, November 18, 1872, Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) and 14 other women were arrested for voting illegally in the United States presidential election of 1872. Though all were arrested, only Anthony was indicted and brought to trial in circuit court. Susan B. Anthony was an American social reformer and advocate for women's rights, significantly contributing to the women's suffrage movement and challenging laws that restricted voting rights to men.
Susan B. Anthony's act of civil disobedience, arrest, and trial galvanized the American women’s suffrage movement. During that period, like all criminal defendants, Anthony was not allowed to testify in her own defense and had to rely on her attorneys to present her case.
The judge in the case ordered the jury to find her guilty without deliberation. She was fined $100, to which she said, “I shall never pay a dollar of your unjust penalty.” She delivered a now-famous speech despite the judge commanding her to cease.
Even though she was found guilty, her courageous stand and ensuing trial brought greater attention to the insufficient rights of women under the U.S. Constitution. Anthony remained dedicated to advocating for women’s suffrage, delivering speeches nationwide, and working diligently until her passing. Fifty years later, the ratification of the 19th Amendment would pass, giving women the right to vote.
Hooray for Women’s Suffrage! Also, let’s hope we don’t see this history repeat itself!!

To the Anons, civil and otherwise, who asked about my reblog RE Kristi Noem's voting bill.
I do know that current, repeat, current federal law prohibits non citizens from voting in federal elections. I have also seen the Biden administration violate federal law on a daily basis by not enforcing the Southern Border. Why would I have any faith that the same administration would enforce election laws?
Some states and some municipalities are allowing non citizens to vote in local elections. Some of those local elections occur on federal election day. Some mechanism must be in place to prevent federal election ballots from being issued to non citizens.
It is painfully obvious that this administration is going to do everything it can to sway this and future elections in the direction of their hideously leftist agenda. I suspect that this would include letting the votes of illegal immigrants slip through the cracks.
Brian Pritchard once accused Gov. Brian Kemp of being “complicit” in the supposedly stolen election.
A right-wing talk show host running in a high-profile special election in Georgia allegedly voted illegally nine times while serving probation for felony convictions, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.
The candidate, Brian K. Pritchard, is running in a Jan. 3 special election to replace former Georgia Speaker of the House David Ralston, who died last month shortly after winning re-election. Pritchard is running against Sheree Ralston, the late legislator’s widow, in a safe Republican seat that David Ralston won uncontested last month.
Pritchard, who is now accused of voting illegally, has also falsely claimed the 2020 presidential election was “stolen” from former President Donald Trump, and accused Republican state officials of being “complicit,” according to the Journal-Constitution.
Bill Price has denied he was serious about the move. But Channel 2 confirmed Price registered to vote the day after he made the speech, using his brother’s address and swearing to an affidavit that he was a Georgia resident and eligible to vote.
“Channel 2 confirmed Price registered to vote the day after he made the speech, using his brother’s Hiram address and swearing to an affidavit that he was a Georgia resident and eligible to vote.“
Real examples of voter fraud and incitement to voter fraud. By guess which political party...
