having been a phodcast watcher since the very start, listening to the audio-only version on spotify is very jarring (not only for the first time but for this episode as well). it really was a bad decision to listen to it on a train as i go home from work. PLUS they completely cut out the part where they give context about dans outfit ! ! my sweet loving parents i beg of you i have adhd you cant just expect me to remember what happened last week nor remember what was in that red ball

i have a lot of thoughts but some of them just keep coming up

1) they decided to make mike act straight all of a sudden with a terrible line after 4 and a half seasons and an episode before the coming out scene? the way he was like “oh that tight wet suit that you have on looks really good el” like they are trying to show us he’s really into gals so the rejection seems unavoidable

2) i was so scared about the talk mike and el have near the bathtub but then he proceeded to talk about all of the party again which restored my faith

3) obviously will wasn’t going to say “i have a crush and it’s mike actually you guys probably know him oh look he’s sitting right there if you’re curious who that is also it is not a crush i’ve been like super in love with him since we were 5 but he’s straight so don’t feel like I’m putting you on the spot mike like i know you don’t feel the same way” but still

4) literally nothing happened to make will suddenly believe mike was his tammy??? we just watched the fucking 8mm film! vol2 did the whole tell not show thing continuously which sucks but because we also heard this from will who is the most unreliable narrator i still feel like we might get a correction? because

5) where the hell is the emotional weight finn supposedly showed? in the finale i hope!

6) didn’t get a milkwan kiss again 👀 if they were trying to do what i said on the 1 st thing above, why not go all the way? nothing adds up like how are they gonna tie up all these loose ends in just two hours

7) it was disappointing how mike didn’t really show much of worry for will when be was unconscious like we were expecting signs an all and it somehow makes sense if they are taking the rejection route? but if not it just proves to me how badly written this season was

8) but then again he didn’t really show worry for anyone. his entire thing was tell don’t show like “mom are you ok? where is holly? el you’re here!” the best we got was when he saw dustin tbh we also didn’t get a reaction to him seeing the upside down for the first time

9) everything just felt like bad pacing to me honestly
