didn’t really think about his gender because his father always wanted him to be Mecha MAN. he also thought boy and girl were the only genders until uhh maybe around 2020s when covid started. idk he seems too invested into crimefighting to consider that maybe there are more genders than those two
he didn’t see himself as a girl. bullet point 1. AMAB or not he still continued his family’s legacy as his father intended, as a man.
get hired by SDN and becomes Z-team dispatcher and stuff and cut to uhh many months later and he finds out Coupe and Sonar are demigender
he asks them how that works and they tell him they just don’t feel their genders 100%
he considers his gender and goes digging
finds out about nonbinary (they forgot to tell him about the nonbinary part of being a demigender)
goes digging through more sources because he thinks his feelings about his lack of gender aren’t significant enough to consider himself nonbinary
flash forward many consultations from his team members and discussion and stuff later you see a happy nonbinary Robert Robertson. nothing else has changed but he’s happier about his gender now
considering going by they/them pronouns but he’s still comfortable with he/him
