Danny never expected to see Tim drake aka Red Robin ever again. Especially not when he just escaped the Giw covered in wounds and a Y he’d never like to see again.
Tim never thought he’d see Danny again, according to Danny only one of him could ever exist. The same one they were both certain was from a different dimension. They had searched up the justice league and Bruce Wayne from Danny’s bedroom. A dimension Danny couldn’t leave without risk of the GIW causing a war in the realm.
He had only ever met Danny after one of his opponents managed to shove him through a natural portal. He of course managed to modify his weapons to work in the infinite realms. Mortal safe food not to easy to find. It was mere chance he had run into phantom. From there he ended up waiting in Danny’s supposed different dimension until frostbite was free to let them use the infinite map to get him back home.
He really needed to look into the GIW of that was the case. First he had to deal with getting Danny medical attention.
Escape is impossible. You know that by now. But you still struggle, your resistance pitiful against the straps holding you down. The leather cuts into your skin, tight across your wrists and ankles, restricting your bare torso. But whumper ignores you, their black-clad figure lingering at the edge of your vision.
Something cold and metal touches your sternum. Your breath catches, and you crane your neck up and forward.
An array of instruments hovers just above your body, suspended in the air as if by magic.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” whumper asks, voice slightly muffled behind their black beaked mask. One gloved hand is outstretched toward you, curling slowly, fingers tapping empty space. “Such power. And without ever having to dirty my hands or expose myself to my subjects.” Whumper leans back a little and flicks one finger downward. Pain flares at the base of your throat. You choke back a scream.
“The first incision,” whumper announces. Their mask cocks slightly to one side. “Impeccable.”
Another tap of a finger. Another sharp pain that lances across your chest. Your barely-contained scream escapes in a small whimper.
“So much power,” whumper murmurs. “This way, there’s no limit to what I can do.”
Ectoberweek 2022, prompt: Shiver, "She traced her fingers along the forgotten metal table. Despite the revelations that had come to light, she’d do it all again."
Summary: It's been a few hours since Jazz stopped her parents from continuing their vivisection on Danny, who actually consented to be vivissected in the first place! She's now pacing down the lab while the rest of the family waits back upstairs, and she has to have another break down before chewing them out for doing something so reckless and painful.
Content Warnings: Jazz breaks down and there's some mentions and implications of gore with Danny's vivisection.
Jazz was standing alone in the now pristine floors and walls of the basement lab in Fenton Works, looking around and walking between the furniture, expression lost in thought as her sight traversed through the different parts of the lab yet remained lost to the world. She traced her fingers along the forgotten metal table. Despite the revelations that had come to light, she’d do it all again.
Shivers run down her spine the moment her sight focuses enough on that cursed metal table, her family really was mad and crazy, but what happened the previous day was on another whole level that was even more worrisome than normal. Her brother being in that table was one of her worst nightmares that she thought left behind once everything fell in place and it all came to light in one of the best outcomes one could’ve expected. Yet reality found a way to bring her back to earth.
The worst part was that it was all consensual. Jazz exploded right there and then once she heard those words come out of Danny’s mouth the previous morning after her late arrival to Fenton Works. Removing his bindings from the table and sending a death glare to the parents was a given, sending the same glare towards her brother wasn’t one. Forcing her parents to put back every single organ that Danny was missing back inside him and patching him up was pretty easy considering how guilty Jack and Maddie looked once they saw all the emotions in her face.
So many emotions warred in her mind then and do now as well, when more than half a day has passed since the discovery on the body on the metal table, and she’s pretty surprised at how fast her parents where at cleaning up everything and organizing it to the most pristine status it could get, but then again, after the scare and mental scarring that the three of them gave to Jazz, she’s pretty sure they wanted to erase all evidence of that ever happening again. They were all waiting for her upstairs right now actually, and after she breaks down again for the day will she go up again to chew them up.
She breathed in, breathed out, breathed in, and tears began pouring down her eyes as her breath began accelerating slowly but surely, hands shaking and lips quivering as she sat herself on the same table Danny was being cut open less than 24 hours ago. Shivers ran down her whole body now as she closed her eyes and took a hand to her mouth in an attempt to muffle her crying, pouring her soul into the muffled silence that she let out, hair getting into her face yet remaining uncaring of it, mind trapped within the flashbacks and the many details she managed to get from what’s by far the most traumatic event in her life.
Trying to repress everything into the confines of her mind wouldn’t do her any good, and even though that's a perfectly valid coping mechanism right now, Jazz can’t bring herself to allow that, not when she needs to confront every single member of her family about the worst thing that could've been asked to do by any other member of the family, and the fact that they went along with it. Jazz began taking deep breaths slowly in order to get herself out of the hole she was digging herself in, calming herself and steading her position, trying to suppress her shivers as she clasped with both hands the metal table she was sitting on.
Once she recovered her bearings, Jazz stood up and went to the bathroom that was present in the basement, she opened the water tab in the sink and splashed her own face, hoping with that to avoid showing her family that she broke down. Wiping herself clean and dry, Jazz finally recovered her gait, the shine in her eyes returning, and with firm steps that portrayed her facade of confidence, she walked up the stairs towards her family, ready to chew them all about why letting Danny be dissected even if he offered himself to do so is a bad idea and how there are many more non-invasive ways to study anatomy now.
Whumper smirked, watching Whumpee’s convulsions with a smirk. Whumpee quickly recovered, wiping their mouth of the saliva that had escaped their lips from the convulsions.
“Adjustments? You’re torturing and experimenting on these poor defenseless animals. Can’t you hear their screams?!”
Crossing their arms, Whumper’s smirk still held.
“You mean their cries for more?”
“No! I mean their-”
An arm suddenly wrapped around Whumpee’s neck as a pinch bloomed on their neck. The pinch quickly disappeared, but the arm around them remained as Whumpee squirmed to try to get out of it.
Glaring at Whumper, Whumpee held Whumper’s impassive gaze. Their smirk only grew as that pinch registered as....
Oh no.
Every second they resisted, the heavier their limbs got and the harder it was to focus.
Whumpee opened their mouth to speak
They couldn’t let Whumper do this... they couldn’t let Whumper....Whumper....
What was Whumper doing again?
Whumpee’s vision slowly faded to black as the arms around them let go, their body slumping forwards. Their mind fell into oblivion with it.
more serverside artfight stuff! the two in the foreground (scientist and current subject) belong to @cosmicartist200 , the two checking in on eachother in the forcefield cell belong to @weirdfranziperson, and then the critter and one watching agape belongs to @sleeping-hobo
just some evil mad scientist time. gonna figure out where snake ends and person begins
the odds are slim, but sometimes when you kill a ghost they don’t simply disappear. sometimes, if the circumstances are juuust right, you get a double ghost.
