Amazing how It just isn't hiding its social commentary at all.

The struggles MB has with its identity and the discriminatory issues that exist everywhere even in safe spaces, especially for the people that fall between the cracks.

How even though preservation is supposed to be about acceptance, people still act in a way that occasionally reminds me of a black kid talking to a cop. It can't say certain things because fundamentally you're still deemed a threat and if not now then don't put that thought in their head because they'll certainly believe there's a later. ("You wanna tell us where you'd hide a body?" "No way, Or else you'd find where I hid all my bodies lol" "....") (Funny if a human said it bc a Human is not deemed a walking talking weapon)

Also conforming for the comfortable, bots minimizing themselves for humans to feel safer despite being programmed to function that way by humans.

MB having to be loud about what it is or else it would be forced into a box (like with the too human/bot name picking, it would be pushed one way or the other)

The whole deal with infantilization of those without as much respect or rights in society and how it's labeled as acceptance and a positive thing as if it's not just enforcing their position in society with extra steps.

The loss of rights and horrors of living under a totalitarianism or a corporatocracy. The generational slave labor got a whole chunk of this book, and also it's apparently not common knowledge?

Just amazing all around. I'm glad Indah's relationship with it developed, glad it's being trusted more and that it will be called back in case of something "really weird".

I LOVE using that GIF of Mensah looking like she's nursing a headache as she says, "SecUnit," out of context. I will not stop.

Yes, she was trying to think through a complex problem and said its name because she was about to ask it a question to better understand and hopefully resolve the problem.

No, that's not what it looks like if you haven't watched the show.

It looks like SecUnit is being a huge pain in the ass and Mensah has reached a point where she urgently needs Advil and a nap about it, and that is something that is so precious to me. 🥰

Mensah, after Murderbot helps Ratthi "liberate" all the pasta from the Station's cafeteria pantry for an art project he's working on in his free time rather than being "the adult" and cajoling Ratthi into simply filing the short and painless paperwork needed to achieve the exact same result with less chaos and less macaroni trailing incriminatingly down the hall, something she absolutely knows it is capable of doing when it wants to:

Mensah, after Murderbot scares away yet another diplomat before they have a chance to speak to Preservation's governing body by wandering into the waiting room, and without preamble, questioning them dispassionately, but with an indecipherable edge, on what unique media is produced in their polity, and whether the diplomat has brought any of said media with them to Preservation Station, perhaps on an external device that cannot be accessed through the feed by the Station's SecSystem, creating the frightening impression to the poor visitor that they are suspected of sabotage and that Preservation has apparently chosen to deal with the situation via imminent violence by sending in a fucking SecUnit rather than arranging an impartial investigation that would have quickly proved that the diplomat is completely innocent:

Candi Ijo

Candi Ijo dibangun sekitar abad ke-9, di sebuah bukit yang dikenal dengan Bukit Hijau atau Gumuk Ijo yang ketinggiannya sekitar 410 m di atas permukaan laut. Karena ketinggiannya, maka bukan saja bangunan candi yang bisa dinikmati tetapi juga pemandangan alam di bawahnya berupa teras-teras seperti di daerah pertanian dengan kemiringan yang curam. Meski bukan daerah yang subur, pemandangan alam di sekitar candi sangat indah untuk dinikmati.

Kompleks candi terdiri dari 17 struktur bangunan yang terbagi dalam 11 teras berundak. Teras pertama sekaligus halaman menuju pintu masuk merupakan teras berundak yang membujur dari barat ke timur. Bangunan pada teras ke-11 berupa pagar keliling, delapan buah lingga patok, empat bangunan yaitu candi utama, dan tiga candi perwara. Peletakan bangunan pada tiap teras didasarkan atas kesakralannya. Bangunan pada teras tertinggi adalah yang paling sakral.

Ragam bentuk seni rupa dijumpai sejak pintu masuk bangunan yang tergolong candi Hindu ini. Tepat di atas pintu masuk terdapat kala makara dengan motif kepala ganda dan beberapa atributnya. Motif kepala ganda dan atributnya yang juga bisa dijumpai pada candi Buddha menunjukkan bahwa candi itu adalah bentuk akulturasi kebudayaan Hindu dan Buddha. Beberapa candi yang memiliki motif kala makara serupa antara lain Ngawen, Plaosan dan Sari.

Ada pula arca yang menggambarkan sosok perempuan dan laki-laki yang melayang dan mengarah pada sisi tertentu. Sosok tersebut dapat mempunyai beberapa makna. Pertama, sebagai suwuk untuk mngusir roh jahat dan kedua sebagai lambang persatuan Dewa Siwa dan Dewi Uma. Persatuan tersebut dimaknai sebagai awal terciptanya alam semesta. Berbeda dengan arca di Candi Prambanan, corak naturalis pada arca di Candi Ijo tidak mengarah pada erotisme.

Menuju bangunan candi perwara di teras ke-11, terdapat sebuah tempat seperti bak tempat api pengorbanan (homa). Tepat di bagian atas tembok belakang bak tersebut terdapat lubang-lubang udara atau ventilasi berbentuk jajaran genjang dan segitiga. Adanya tempat api pengorbanan merupakan cermin masyarakat Hindu yang memuja Brahma. Tiga candi perwara menunjukkan penghormatan masyarakat pada Hindu Trimurti, yaitu Brahma, Siwa, dan Whisnu.

Salah satu karya yang menyimpan misteri adalah dua buah prasasti yang terletak di bangunan candi pada teras ke-9. Salah satu prasasti yang diberi kode F bertuliskan Guywan atau Bluyutan berarti pertapaan. Prasasti lain yang terbuat dari batu berukuran tinggi 14 cm dan tebal 9 cm memuat mantra-mantra yang diperkirakan berupa kutukan. Mantra tersebut ditulis sebanyak 16 kali dan diantaranya yang terbaca adalah "Om Sarwwawinasa, Sarwwawinasa." Bisa jadi, kedua prasasti tersebut erat dengan terjadinya peristiwa tertentu di Jawa saat itu. Apakah peristiwanya? Hingga kini belum terkuak.

Mengunjungi candi ini, anda bisa menjumpai pemandangan indah yang tak akan bisa dijumpai di candi lain. Bila menghadap ke arah barat dan memandang ke bawah, anda bisa melihat pesawat take off dan landing di Bandara Adisutjipto. Pemandangan itu bisa dijumpai karena Pegunungan Seribu tempat berdiri candi ini menjadi batas bagian timur bandara. Karena keberadaan candi di pegunungan itu pula, landasan Bandara Adisutjipto tak bisa diperpanjang ke arah timur.

Setiap detail candi menyuguhkan sesuatu yang bermakna dan mengajak penikmatnya untuk berefleksi sehingga perjalanan wisata tak sekedar ajang bersenang-senang. Adanya banyak karya seni rupa hebat tanpa disertai nama pembuatnya menunjukkan pandangan masyarakat Jawa saat itu yang lebih menitikberatkan pada pesan moral yang dibawa oleh suatu karya seni, bukan si pembuat atau kemegahan karya seninya.
