I’m SO tired of inaccessible “accessible” bathrooms. Designers seem to think that if they slap a few support bars in there then BAM! Accessible! When half the time you can’t even fit a wheelchair in the stall, the door opens the wrong way, the sinks too high, you can’t each the soap dispenser etc. etc.
Half the time I can’t even open the door by myself if it’s an “accessible/family restroom” like the door is LITERALLY heavier than me and my chair COMBINED! Nothing that requires outside help to use should EVER be deemed “accessible”. If I can’t do it by myself…it’s not accessible. End of story.
