holding hands in a stressful moment

casual brushes while passing them

kissing the palm on their hand and then nuzzling into it

playing with the other's fingers

lifting them and setting them on the counter to have better kiss reachability

burying face in the crook of their neck

playing with their hair

spooning

removing their make up and hair products for them after a hard day

jumping in their arms upon reunion

the taller leaning on the shorter's shoulder like an arm rest

Sometime near the beginning of 2025, I had a dream of myself walking through a forest. I came across an arched door standing there among the trees. I stopped and looked at it. Then Jesus appeared to the left side of the door. The moment I saw Him, I felt overwhelmed with emotion and began to bawl.

The door opened, and inside there was a wood table with chairs. Jesus walked in, sat down, and then turned to look at me from the other side of the doorway. With such tenderness He said, “Come and dine with Me. I long for you to come and dine with Me.”

I woke up, and it hit me: there’s nothing Jesus wants more from us than for us to set everything aside and simply be with Him—to choose Him. He yearns for our company, our friendship, our intimacy more than anything else.

Jesus inviting us to dine with Him echoes Revelation 3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock… if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

The table in His presence mirrors Psalm 23:5 and Luke 22:14–15, where Jesus says, “I earnestly desired to eat this meal with you.”

The forest and arched door reflect the way God often reveals personal, symbolic invitations into deeper intimacy.

I’m 100% percent sure I’m aro, but I love physical contact and it’s soo.. invalidating.

I grew up in a household where hugs and kisses were normal and whenever I was sad I could lay in my mothers lap and she’d massage my head.

Of course there’s nothing romantic about it to me.. that would be weird asf!

However, I keep being told that liking physical contact or looking for a qpr whose chest is my pillow is romantic. I assure you it is not.

I’m also ace and I don’t mind people touching my chest or butt. (I didn’t grow up having those areas touched, but it just seems like a normal thing, yk?) how are chests sexual?? How are butts sexual??

I’m an aroace who likes physical contact and it’s easy to feel invalid because of it.

yesterday i wanted to kiss someone. i wanted to know how it feels like to put my lips against someone else's. how it would feel to have them put both their hands on my face. i hope this act doesn't come out of hunger for lust, but a crave for affection and something more.

I think we all speak a different kind of language than each other, but you sound a whole lot like coffee on a Sunday morning and the rain is falling bitter against the windowpane and your elbows are making holes in the countertops, and I only want to tell you that I wish I was as close as the threads of your t-shirt, and if I can’t be that, then I’ll be content with drinking my drink beside you, with the rain sloppy open mouth kissing the roof, trying to dismantle the etymology of a conversation that falls out of the realm of words.
