The secret city of Mahabis rests hidden in a maelstrom clouded by fog. But only a small portion of the city is above water seeing how the people are an underwater species. I created this map with @inkarnate where you too can build awesome maps.

My awesome friend Lindsay over at @ridersoftheapocalypse showed me the cool program she used to make her maps. I decided to experiment. This is the map of Malus, the homeland of Leere’s people, the Mortuus. Malus is a country of monsters and death. Leere’s people are divided into two classes. Those that worship the dark arts and would gladly raise hell, and those that oppose them. The country’s borders are surrounded by high mountains that long ago, the Mortuus begged the gods to raise a barrier that would keep the monsters of Malus trapped within. There are a few openings in the mountains, but they hold dangerous protection to keep evil’s from escaping, not that they travel too far from the capital regardless most of the time. The land of Malus is home to large winding hills. Beneath these hills are home to Mortuus who hide underneath the earth to protect themselves from many creatures that would gladly tear them apart. To south of the border, is a steep long drop into the rest of the country. The only village that is safe to visit, is Kriea Town, though few outsiders ever visit, fewer still knowing of its location. They’d never travel north, due a guardian Colossi that patrols the land, indiscriminately destroying any form of life or undeath it sees, unless its secret is unlocked to cease its hostility. To the north is one of the few porting areas that curious travelers use to find themselves in, with a massive temple being the only building that has up keep through out the years. To travel south is to enter the Forest of the Hungry. Those who found themselves lost quickly regret wishing to be found. The capital city of Inferos is one of the crowning achievements of the world. A massive, marvelous city of science and magic. Unfortunately, it fell to the darkest of evils millennia and millennia ago. The cultist clans of Mortuus thrive from the capital, keeping monsters and demons alive and thriving best they can. A thriving castle is located atop on the Mountain above the metropolis. None have sought out to liberate the country of Madness and Darkness. The very few who know of what lies in Malus are its own citizens, and people of Omisha, who keep an eye out for if the protectors of the border were to ever fall.
OC-Tober: Day 8. Their Living Space
Klinge’s living space has always been small, but personal. As Mablung, he grew up both on the farm and in the desert valley living in a small one sized room. Centauries later as Klinge, when he was promoted to be a Commander in Hyrule’s Grand Army, he acquired his own quarters. Not having a need to eat food except out of comfort if he wished, Klinge didn’t have a traditional kitchen or any containers to hold food. He did, however, have a sink to clean off dirt and blood from daily activities. The central table was merely to host guests or have a place to read. Around his room are various weapon racks and armours filled with either his own creations or trophies he acquired in previous conquests. Further left, Klinge had tables for books and tomes to read, as well as a single sized bed to lie on for rest. The only change before he moved out of the castle was to have a bigger bed when he married Asakonigei.
I hate past me.
Oohh people travel via Great Deer, I should put Deer tracks in the muddy path.
Up yours buddy. Imma still do it, tho.
I made a rough draft map of the Wastelands of Persephone, the world I’m making for the worldbuilding challenge. I may go through it and try to make it more geologically realistic, but eh that’s for another day, if at all.
I haven’t exactly done the math yet but the idea is that the area of focus is gonna be roughly the size of Arizona + some of the Four Corners States. The white lines are the main railroads, and the towns along them are only the biggest towns along the railways. There are probably dozens of small Dust Towns scattered throughout the wastes that have yet to be properly mapped. Also, oases in Persephone have an annoying, magical habit of always changing their location, so you can never be sure where one is going to pop up.
