For those of you who have been following my story this weekend: Tada! The latest in our #HandmadeAtHome series . I love tea. I never used to drink it when I was younger because I found black tea a bit too strong and bitter. Then, I discovered the range of flavours of loose teas - it started when my brother-in-law bought me "carrot and orange" and "mango and rosemary" for my birthday. My collection soon expanded, and now I have a wide range from flavoured black to spiced fruits to simple herbals. . I used to house my teas in a standing shelf, but unfortunately that didn't fit anywhere in the new place so of course we had to build a new one, and I'd always wanted a proper tea rack so at least here it is! Made from an old set of bed slats from our previous bed. You can also see our old knife rack incorporated into our new kitchen shelf 🔪 . Tea was first drunk in China, mainly for medicinal purposes. It is recorded as early as 2300 years ago in officially documents, although according to legend, it was actually invented nearly 5000 years ago by Shennong (a mythical prehistoric King who was also said to have invented agriculture). . Whichever is the case, it is certainly one of the oldest and most internationally drunk beverages - allegedly the most widely consumed in the world after water ☕️ . Do you drink tea? What's your favourite kind? . #tea #inmycup #teashelf #handmade #homemade #recycled #upcycle #upcycling #upcycledfurniture #kitchen #knife #kniferack #shelfie #interiordesign https://www.instagram.com/p/CAP_w0_A-Z1/?igshid=y10yo7kg2xqy
