I have been to the top of the mountain and trust me what I say It's really not worth the fall even if the view is pretty wonderful It's a tiring walk up steep rocky paths the kind that one wrong step will snap your ankle A slip and fall kind of place That only gets slicker has you go

I have slept in the deepest of trenches the secret place below rock bottom and I really wouldn't recommend it unless your life doesn't matter to you at all Because it's cold and it's uncomfortable and there's never a way out while your in no matter how hard you search the graveled ground

I have learned how to hate my fellow man to see no potential within the human race and that's truly fucking depressing and I wouldn't suggest apathy for anyone with a soul It's hard to watch everyone you've ever know quickly turn back into strangers Because they just can't handle seeing how far you've fallen And being angry that there were no outstretched hands blaming everyone else except for the one person at fault

I have tasted the sweetness of true love the kind of love that brightens the world around you the kind of love that's truly unconditional all those days begging for something real and it came in the form of ocean blue eyes Sparkle like diamonds I'll use them to make the ring I still have stashed away a reminder that I was really in love once And the past will always be here to stay

I am made up of broken experiences of things I never in my life that I'd do And life's not over yet, so there's still some length of time Because before we die, we have to remember we are alive focus on the feelings both good and bad To the things you've got and to the things you've hide And tomorrow is never promised, or so I'm told dealt bad cards but I still won't fold
