Stop asking me to be small. I’m not here to fit inside your comfort zone.
Every time I bite my tongue, I lose a piece of myself. Every time I shrink, I teach you that my silence is acceptable.
I’m done playing soft just to be liked. Respect doesn’t come from being easy. It comes from standing firm, from saying the thing no one else will say, from refusing to bend just to keep the peace.
If that makes me ‘too much,’ then good. I’d rather be too much than nothing at all.
