Ô great master Octomoosey, allow me to offer this sacrifice of thirty jar of nutella as a thanks for granting my old wish to make my own theme for my blog !! Seriously, thanks a lot, your tutorial to make a theme from scratch is amazing and I am eternally thankful to you for making it !! However, I tried several things but couldn't make my tags appear on the side, 'outside' of my posts, like I have seen in several themes including yours. Could you help me with that, please ?
….#30 jars!?!?! omgsh… well in that case… - yep!
how to move your permalinks (date, reblog, via, source) + tags to the side of your posts
for example -
i’m going to be using my ‘prince charming’ theme as a demo…
here’s my post with the permalink/tags beneath each post;
nice and simple - but we’re going to move them off to the right of the post…
1. check your posts css.
yes, you need to start there!
currently this is all i have for my post css styling -
you need to have both the ‘display:block;’ and ‘position:relative;’ in there. if you add this to your theme, you shouldn’t see a difference at all, but it will make sure that when you’re styling your permalinks, they don’t all end up in a big ‘lump’ and are separated properly to line up with each post!
2. moving on to the date/tags html block…
we’re going to skip down to the tags html, we need to make sure they are sitting inside the ‘posts’ div - take a little peek at the image below and you can see that my {block:date} section is included in the same section as all of the other post html…
something else to note - we have included ALL of our date, reblog, tags etc. INSIDE of the date block, with the {block:date} and {/block:date} wrapped around the whole section! this is very important! you can add in additional styling sections within that block if you like - at the moment all of the styling in that block is using my ‘div id=“information”’ css section.
when you’ve got your date block in the right place with all of the info in there that you want, you can move on to your css
3. setting up your permalink css
so as i mentioned, my styling is in my ‘information’ css section... this is it currently...
again we’ve added in the ‘display:block;’ section, and a positioning - this time we use ‘positioning:absolute;’ because we want each section of tags to position ‘absolutely’ against their ‘relative’ post. we’ve also added in a position, as my posts are 500px wide, i’ve added in a ‘left’ value of 510px just to give them a little bit of space, and a ‘top’ value of 0px so they line up with the top of each post. i also tweaked the width just to make sure they’re a bit smaller!
this is what i have now!
permalinks over at the side! you can use a negative ‘left’ value if you want to align them to the right. for example;
from there it’s just a case of adding in extra styling or line breaks, etc. to style that section as you please!
one more thing to note! your permalinks might have had a ‘margin-bottom’ section which would initially have set a margin between your posts - now that they’ve been moved, this won’t work anymore and your posts might all be smushed together! so you might have to add a ‘margin-bottom’ line into your posts css just to space them out again!
but that’s it! if this helped, a like or reblog is always appreciated! :3
Hi !! To be honest, I don't really care about the sexual orientation of the members of the GazettE, but I think your last post regarding Ruki's way of talking in his songs and interviews was really interesting. I am curious about the other member's ways to talk in interviews ?
they kinda don’t. like they say things and they have their own speech patterns (uruha talks weird, aoi speaks with a heavy dialect and slang, reita is just a typical dude and kai is a professional) but they don’t go as deep as ruki does. the only reason we have so much on ruki is because he opens himself up in lyrics. the other members don’t have that.
Would you please tell me from which song the last gifset you reblogged is from ? And also, that Manga is hilarious !! Is it official ? When did it came out ? Please tell me everything you know about it !!
That wonderful gifset is made by gacktova and the song you asked about is Brise. One way to enjoy this dance is by the merveilles ~終焉と帰趨~ l'espace DVD —- If you buy it, you won’t be disappointed, I swear!
The manga, Premier, is unofficial, fan made and mostly likely against the law (as dōjinshi mangas tend to be). It has Lis Noir written in the back cover illustration and that’s what I know about it, really. It’s been ages but the book has remained a mystery to me. I do not know when it was published or who translated it. However, what I can give you is the next part tomorrow.
Ah !! That's marvelous !! I had trouble with a fighting scene and I just fell here completely by chance, but I am so thankful I did !! OK, so the story takes place in a male high school. The main character arrives late on his first day of school ...
So when the main character approach him, the ‘girl’ starts afight without warning. The two are of equivalent strength and are eventuallyseparated by teachers. I don’t tell the scene itself but at the morning break,something like 3 hours later the main character meet up with his best friend,and the latter has to notice he got into a fight. I thought about bruising themain character, but bruises usually take a whole day to appear. I suppose he isdisheveled and unkempt but I don’t think it is enough, but I have no real clueof how to make him notice, or even how do two high school student would fight^^’ Could you help me with that ?(Sorry if I made mistakes, I am French,English is not my mother tongue ^^)
(Edited into a single quote from multiple asks.)
Depending on the bruise, those can start to appear in a fewminutes. As we’ve mentioned before, bruising is a result of subdermal bleeding,the more severe the bleeding, the faster the bruise appears. Very minorbruises, from things like running your shin into a table can appear later withlittle to no explanation, but bruises from combat usually appear prettyquickly.
Beyond that, punching can frequently result in smallabrasions (or skinning) to the knuckles. This will produce some superficial bleeding.They should clot in about 10 to 15 minutes, but the scabbing could remainvisible for up to a week.
Small cuts and tears are also a common injury. There are alot of places these can occur. Split lips, places where the bones are close tothe skin. Over and around the eyes come to mind immediately. Again, thebleeding will be superficial but it will leave visible injuries.
A blow to the nose can trigger a nosebleed. In this case,the bleeding appears to be far more severe than the actual injury is. Nosebleedsare far more annoying for aesthetic reasons, because it’s very easy to getblood on your clothes accidentally, while dealing with them.
In general keeping blood off your clothes and fully cleaningit requires some practice. Something your character probably won’t have learnedto do.
Also, most clothing isn’t designed to handle combat. This isless true when you’re talking about leather jackets or denim, but cotton andother fabrics can easily be torn in a fight. Technically, leather can bedamaged as well, though this will usually appear as scrapes or abrasions on thejacket.
You probably wouldn’t see all of these combined. At leastnot in a small scuffle. But, one or two of these kinds of injuries will cueother people in on that your character has been in a fight.
