Intern Maureen actually dates Chad in the demon puppy arc, and she still leads the army, but its portrayed as 'bad' and 'this is why women should be in charge' and she's either saved by Cecil from her evil demon summoning boyfriend and dates him instead (prompting a rivalry with Dana), or Chad dies and she's the REAL big bad of the arc and Cecil has to defeat her because 'women with power are bad' tm.

tfw the boss at your first internship keeps avoiding you and refuses to sign your papers and let you get the credits necessary to graduate even though you risked a whole lot for a quite frankly dangerous job despite the simple job description of "assistant", so you have to find another internship for a managerial position with a rather sketchy dude with a beagle which incidentally turns out to an infernal hellhound and the people you'll be managing are an army of unmoving spectres from hell or whatever that are out to destroy your town

and that all of this is happening because your present boss is also a former intern at your former boss' place and they didnt even bother to look for him when he went missing during a trip for an interview... and got possessed or whatever

Dave: Uhh…

Carlos [in the background]: Eight… twenty-two! I keep getting 8:22! That’s a full ten minutes off!

Dave: He’s… busy. Can I help you?

Chad: Oh, sure! Cecil was just wondering if Carlos and his scientists had anything exciting to report? You know, for the show?

Dave: His scientists?

Carlos [exasperated]: How can the sun set at the wrong time?? That’s not…

Chad: Oh, that is exciting! Why do you think—

Dave: Look, kid, I gotta go. Sorry, but we need to figure this out.

[calling across the lab] ‘Shel? Stan? First thing: let’s double check all the clocks.
