THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY LATE BECAUSE THE MINECRAFT MOVIE ISN'T EVEN ALL THAT TRENDING ANYMORE... but! Idea of Steve's "status" with Out World and stuff related to what happened while he was gone or whatever (very massive yap session incoming oops)

By the after credits scene with Alex— She is living in his OLD house, which means it's not in his possession anymore (duh); if he's been gone in Out World for long enough he's definitely declared missing and maybe even DEAD. Also... At the end of the opening scene, we see that Dennis is sent out to take the Orb of Dominance back to Steve's house where it ends up under his water bed.

BUT— later, it's discovered in the storage unit that is being auctioned off. THAT MEANS that stuff in Steve's house (i.e., the orb) has been transferred from house to unit. Usually when a person goes plainly missing, the county or whoever just auctions the possessions away unless the FAMILY steps in and takes the stuff. And since Steve is obviously in Block Central over there, he couldn't have bought a unit and transferred his own items... So does that mean his family is involved in this? 100% (in my idea..)

Then again... That storage unit? Is being auctioned. But it's not Steve's own unit, as explained earlier! So, why? If not Steve neglecting to pay the ever so important unit fee, then who? Possibly his PARENTS. I'll explain (again)— imagine this: Son goes missing, parents get assets because who else would if he's unmarried and without his own children. But then say... hypothetically.. parents DIE. If the son, who is possibly an only child, is already missing.. then he couldn't take his parent's assets.. Then who would get those assets now in the line? THE COUNTY (or something).

THAT is why the unit is being auctioned, and our lovely, debt suffering Garrett Garrison is able to buy it; because storage units of missing or dead peoples get auctioned if not taken by someone mentioned in a will (like explained).

tl;dr — Steve in the Minecraft Movie is essentially dead to the state of Idaho due to an extended state of missing-ness.. And his parents are probably dead upon returning to the normal world ^⁠_⁠^

About TikTok - it looks like the US Government forgot about the Cute Cat Theory of Digital Activism.

This theory is where most people in the world use online platforms for mainstream things such as looking at cat photos rather than doing/being informed on activism.

When access to cute cat photos (or other mainstream things) get interupted by a social media ban, those people who used social media casually would become more aware with activist ideas.

If TikTok was left alone, people would have stayed ignorant about RedNote.

The Internet is the most populated uncharted region in history.

Billions of people and most of it is straight up unknown.

Think of how many websites there must be that got 6 views a decade ago and are still public. How many posts on Reddit got no upvotes but were never removed, how many YouTube videos are at 0 or 1 views. How many people posted their lifes work hoping to have someone see it and the only eyes were theirs.

How many public websites or pages or profiles are there? Probably billions upon billions upon billions. So how much content is out there? Unfathomable. How much of it gets the views? I would estimate less than a fraction of a percent.

What is the name of this part of the web? Its clearly surface web as a search engine can bring it up, not deep web where its unindexed or dark where its hidden, but its small and unseen.

Maybe I am paranoid, but I feel like the quality of Wikipedia articles has diminished.

Because I suspect that (academic) authors are putting their own books and stuff in the articles to boost their own standing.

As Erich Fromm stated in "On the Feeling of Powerlessness". We cannot overestimate the power fantasies and delusions of grandeur in academic intellectuals.

So I'm not on Bluesky anymore, the constant drip feed of American news served in microblog format wasn't great for my mental health, but if there is one thing I learned from it that applies to all social media it's this: Block and Move On. Someone's a TERF? Block and Move on. Run into a Nazi? Block and Move On. Dude whinging about how his reactionary political views and misogynistic outlook don't get him laid, and how this should be everyone's problem? Block....then move on. You don't have to engage with these people, the block function of any medium is there for a reason. I also think it's pretty evident that at least part of how we got to the right-wing moment we're in is that we collectively forgot one of the oldest pieces of internet wisdom: "DON'T FEED THE TROLLS".

If H.P. Lovecraft was so small minded that other cultures seemed eldritch for him then it would stand to reason that the modern era in every country would stand to test the same. The internet would be the Eldritch deity to him no doubt. He wouldn't be far off for once. Racist bastard. Anyways I do like the idea of the internet being a bit more conscious than we realize I mean it was formed under the influence of the same shrooms that influenced the modern consciousness, societal structures, quite a few modern religions and otherwise I stand to reason that if religion comes from a consumed and connected relationship to psylocybin that the internet could by in large be an extension of consciousness and God. Whatever God that may be I think it is likely to be Abrahamic as those are the ones I'm pretty sure we're the most influenced by psylocybin but I could be incorrect. By all accounts all religions can be traced back to fungus at the core beginning or practices of every single one. Especially wine being a product of yeast and Slavic religions having a separate mushroom altogether I just think it's worth considering that maybe the internet is just an extension of the living consciousness or possibly even deities older than we could comprehend. Hence this unknowable nature is so closely comparable to that of an old god or eldritch being. Not able to fully be comprehended by the human mind without madness (funny enough the internet is even confirmed to have adverse effects on mental health. Like the internet is ever expanding and warping not ever able to be fully controlled even if shut down I don't think it would even then truly stop. There is something strange about the world we live in and I think that we all should start trying to connect more dots because I find it more than strange that mushrooms and fungi of all things seem to be the core of religion, modern advancements in both medicine and technology, the advancing of human consciousness and among other things the organization of what we would call modern civilization. I find it strange that mushrooms seem to hold far too many solutions for something so overlooked. Like we don't even think about them most days (well I think about them a decent amount) we just never consider where is all came from. Studying religion it comes back to mushrooms and alcohol eventually. All extensions of fungi. Hell a lot of religions even used other prerequisites for what would in the modern day be classified as drugs. Maybe someday when I'm not so green in my studies this will all come together a bit better. Less mad thing rambling more articulated essay that can actually help shit be better. There's been evidence that fungi is even the solution to the current pollution and destruction of our planet. Because fungi breaks down all. The great equalizer. At the end of the day mushrooms are the truly equal entity being the only one that consumes all at the end. Fungus is truly the thing that connects us all living and dead we will all be dissolved by ground and dirt and even those who are pickled and boxed fungus always wins out. Water and fungus. The true essences of life and death. They meet you at the beginning and end. From when you leave the vagina with it's natural yeasts and blood and water and fungi that keep the vagina healthy to the same that meet your corpse to decompose and return your nutrients to the earth. (Ps I don't get why people preserve flesh after death it seems a waste and added pollution.) Anyways this has been a bit of a mad ramble but nonetheless I hope some of it was rational enough to be useful to someone besides myself.
