Rebecca "Burger" Heineman, co-founder of Interplay Entertainment in 1983 (among many, many other achievements) has passed away.

At Interplay she was company programmer and worked on Wasteland (1988), The Bard's Tale (1985), and ports of Out of This World (1992, SNES port) and Wolfentstein 3D (1995, Mac/3DO ports). Other games she worked on include: Neuromancer (1988), DOOM (1996, 3DO port), Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness (1994, Apple IIgs port), Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (1999, Mac port), Icewind Dale (2002, Mac port), Heroes of Might and Magic IV (2002, Mac port) - just to name a few.

Sharon Shellman is a 3D artist and animator who worked on animations, modeling, textures and cinematics for the original Fallout. She is credited for working on the Dog, Brahmin, Mister Handy, and Deathclaw.

Lookout for Earthworm Jim 3D Beta Build!

Hello! We at the Summer Home are currently on the lookout for any leads to some Earthworm Jim lost media. To be more specific, the beta or development build of Earthworm Jim 3D!

Earthworm Jim 3D had a rocky development, and visually changed millions of times between 1996-1999. We've shared and archived most if not all of the available screenshots and photographic proof that the beta did exist in some form to at least be advertised in magazines and trailers. There's playable betas of the two previous games, but not EWJ 3D.

So, we must ask you for help. If you can help us potentially find any leads or the full beta itself, then please do.

We do have some links to forums or online conversations to get your search started, as well as listing out some of the known dev team responsible for EWJ 3D.

The UI design of Baldur’s Gate places a significant emphasis on the idea that the majority of context-specific actions the player can perform will be done through the buttons on the left, right, and bottom center of the screen. While characters and locations are displayed on screen in the game world as well, the game largely takes place through these buttons and the text on the screen- thus making it that much more important that any action the player takes must be entirely intentional.
