I'm wondering if anyone who's been curious about Exodus and then saw the TGA gameplay trailer has also noticed something familiar?

Like Exodus is Mass Effect: Andromeda + more money and Matthew McConaughey??

I guess it's okay to seek inspiration but kinda weird if it looks like a copy? Even if James Ohlen (former head of Archetype Entertainment, they're making Exodus) previously worked on Mass Effect: Andromeda as a director of design??

Mass Effect: Andromeda was claimed as a big fail, yes. But.. you thought nobody played it? Or nobody remembers it? That's funny.

The UI design of Baldur’s Gate places a significant emphasis on the idea that the majority of context-specific actions the player can perform will be done through the buttons on the left, right, and bottom center of the screen. While characters and locations are displayed on screen in the game world as well, the game largely takes place through these buttons and the text on the screen- thus making it that much more important that any action the player takes must be entirely intentional.

While the combat in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is “turn-based,” these turns are contained within set time intervals, and both individuals in combat attack and react to attacks almost simultaneously.
