My half of an art trade with @hikayagami! I drew this a while back and am only just now posting it to the greater web since today is Hika's birthday~

The reason why I'm posting this so late is because I actually wanted to draw the rest of the neko gang for this occasion -- just because I felt so bad that it took me so long to finish my half of the art trade and wanted to make up for it in this way. However, I ended up running out of time and I didn't want to draw something sloppy and rushed, nor did I want to draw a few characters and not the rest of the cast just for the sake of getting something up ;w; consider this Irio drawing part 1 of my Neko Project art spree, with the rest of my intended art coming soon!

An updated pic of Irio, with my current shading style, to go with Yama’s new pic. I’m currently working on Kit as well. You can download the pic in higher resolution HERE.

Trivia: Irio’s family consists of his father, King Anden, and mother, Queen Okya and Kit (Kit is unofficially adopted by Irio as his younger brother). His mother is currently banished from the Katzen Kingdom for reasons unknown.

Irio’s sword was forged by Yama’s father, Chattaan (Yama came up with the simplistic design in accordance to Irio’s wishes.). The sword is made out of Zamrude, the strongest known material on Terah, which is rumored to have come from the stars. Due to this, Irio named the sword Celes.

Drew a chibi of Irio while experimenting on a new hair shading technique. The hair alone took about 8 hours. Now that I know how to do it, I should get faster at it over time... hopefully XD.

Another quick doodle, this time of Irio. Once again, these quick doodles are not very... quick XD. This one actually took 4 hours longer than Yama’s. Just like with Yama, it’s only fair that I provide some random info on Irio as well X3.

As some have figured out by looking at Irio’s recent tags, “Irio” is a nickname. His full name is Iriomote Autem Katzen. Only members of the royal families in Terah have middle names and their last names are the names of their race. The male members of the Katzen royal family are named after places that have endangered cats. The “Iriomote” in his name is said in French pronunciation.

Irio is ambidextrous (both handed) but that was because he was taught to be so. He was born left-handed.

Aidith introduces both him and Kit to Earth entertainment. Irio likes rom-coms and other chick-flick movies. For music, he likes classical songs and boy-bands (He thinks the lyrics are deep XD.).

Irio’s personal “catnip” are Roses. When surrounded by too much of them, he becomes extremely flirtatious.

Irio’s hair-color is a mix between his mother and father‘s. However, when it comes to appearance, he mostly resembles his late grandfather, Vorneo.
