About 3,800 objects purchased by Hobby Lobby were returned to Iraq in May. Some come from an ancient Sumerian city, Irisagrig, and indicate that life there was "pretty good," an archaeologist says.
This is just so appalling. What a profound lack of conscience Hobby Lobby has shown in buying these and keeping them hidden. I’m glad they’re getting looked at seriously, because we need to find that ‘lost’ city as soon as possible. The article is right - archaeologists may not know where it is, but the looters certainly do.
