This might be a hot take but i think theres something to be said about how SOME people seem to despise all of daryls canon/female love interests EXCEPT. For Connie, who is the only woman who doesn't talk.

Like people will gladly ship Daryl with Rick, Jesus, Aaron, etc, but the second it comes to his actual show love interests theyre called badly written or forced..

Oh to love a character that is so doomed by the narrative that there is no version of him that ended happily and if there is it's because he die for that better world. To be a character that so drench by death flags every character close to them had to prepare for when he actually die but he can't actually die cuz the world needs him to live. They'd forced him to be alive, they'd tied him, chain him to the forever cycle of despair and tragedy over and over and over again. It is hopeless xit is rotten work but why is he still fighting? I find it fucked up that when my job messes up your payroll and accidentally pays you much more than you were supposed to get you have to work without pay for a few weeks until you “pay it back” like I shouldn’t have to pay it back, it was YOUR mistake.
