I don’t like when Americans feel such self importance because they can the language that is universally spoken in the world, just because they live in that said country, that’s why they can speak it so don’t fool yourselves it’s not because y’all are the pinnacle of the earth and the chosen ones. It only means that y’all got treated good by the system who implemented that and god knows what system that is.

When they see a person that can’t speak it or encounter it online hell let’s lose, they get judgy, they don’t wanna hear your thoughts, they dismiss you as unintelligent straight away, they see you as indifferent and something to be afraid of, because language is that important(or is it? Or are you just afraid of the silence between words). They will send you sms telling you to learn it, to not speak anymore UNTIL you learn it, to never try again because gosh that was awful, to come back and you might be one of us..*might* because here we aren’t gonna tone down not when we already are well expressed and cultured (but are they really? They are performative and take and toss things other people put their time to explain, it’s just how language works 🤷🏻‍♀️). and they will do it publicly or privately not giving a damn because hey it’s just language, right?..

I want this to stop, I want compassion back into America, I want people to listen instead of their butts, I want them to decentralised all the American propaganda they are still possessing. It HURTS.

Early the next morning, they were all up and having breakfast when there was a knock on the door. It was Odette who as promised had the correct schedule for the day, and mostly was there to pick up the two competing ones, so they could go early. 

Tyvan: Good luck you two. They both smiled and waved as they headed out, leaving the ones sitting at the table with a sudden feel of nervousness between them. Meeting the rest of the family a little later in the hall, they soon learned they were not the only ones with that nervous feeling.

River: Wow.. I am glad you never did anything like this Flynn.. Flynn: Grandpa nerves? River: Yep.. I might need to borrow sunlights necklace. -he chuckles- I didn’t really think I would be this invested in skating, ever. 

Flynn just chuckled, it was fun to see everyone so involved with Rylan’s skating. Everyone wanted to be there both for their normal competitions, as well as of course this chance to get to compete on an even bigger stage.

After a while of talking, and watching the other competitors, it was time, and the chatter between them went quiet for five minutes, as the music stopped and the two bowed, the crowd burst out in cheering and clapping, which had Flynn look over at Emil with a big smile. They had really done good, not perfect, they had been to enough practices to see a mistake here and there, but still, it was so much better than anything they had seen from them before.
