The first lightning strike should've been a warning sign to shut down the bakery and head home.
Instead Katie decided to take a risk and keep going...
One more lightning strike was all it took to start a fire and turn a nice day into utter chaos!
The rain put the fire out right away but the damage was done. Everyone was freaking out and the firefighter even came by! How embarrassing!
Katie decided after that to close up for the rest of the evening.
Despite the constant rain, Katie Kakes was doing very well.
In fact, things were going so well that Katie was able to raise the entry fee to 5 simoleons, which her customers still considered pretty cheap!
Her bakery was on its way to actually becoming as successful as Theo's bar just down the street!
Another day at the library hoping to make enough simoleons to do... something.
Katie headed to the café for the last time before the end of the rotation, wanting to earn as many simoleons as possible.
A lot of sims popped by to say "hello" and check things out. Of course Isaiah was one of the first customers of the day. He's always visiting community lots!
Also I swear, none of the customers come here for the baked goods. All they want is to have an epic dance party!
Erin really needed to work through her feelings, especially her anger and frustration toward Rhett.
What better way to do that than to work out at her gym?
It was very therapeutic, plus she managed to make a few simoleons in the process, which was a bonus.
Katie still hadn't sold a single bowl of soup, but that wasn't going to discourage her.
While everyone hung out on the other side of the counter, she went ahead and made a berry pie to sell in her display. She was very excited to have one of her neighbors taste test it.
Travis was still having a hard time earning simoleons, but he managed to scrape up just enough to buy a lectern. Sims from all over the 'hood could come and give speeches now!
Of course, the first sim to try it out was Matt, the first mayor of Windy Valley.
"Welcome everyone! I'd like to start off by thanking Travis for inviting me. It's so nice to see new businesses and watching them expand! I know it doesn't look like much now," he paused to gesture around. "But in a few years' time I'm sure the downtown area will be booming!" he said.
Isaiah has been all over the 'hood lately, exploring the local businesses and seeing what kind of trouble he can get up to.
Being the only teenager in the 'hood is rough. Fortunately Travis doesn't seem to mind being pelted with snowballs while trying to make some simoleons.
Don't worry Isaiah, there'll be another teen around before this household is up!
Yue will actually be the same age as him once all of the households are sync'd up again.
