#JackedKirby - Happy 79th Bday Mike Royer!!! 🎂🎂🎂 Happy 79th Bday to one of Jack Kirby’s best (and also rumored to be one of his personal favorite) inker Mr Mike Royer!!! 🎂🎂🎂 Mike did some amazing work with Jack on his DC runs (I personally love his inking on The Demon, pic 2 here) and he followed him back to Marvel where he did a bunch of Jack’s stuff upon the King’s return. 🎂🎂🎂 I also included a few other personal faves of mine, a two page spread from Weird Mystery Tales (pic 3) and the cover of 2001 #issue10 which I love so much! 🎂🎂🎂 Pic 1 is Jack with Royer at the 1975 San Diego Comic Con.... he is so young! Pics 5/6 are Tommy and Mike meeting Mike at the Big Apple con a few years back. It was an honor! 🎂🎂🎂 Mike is the consummate pro, not only by be an amazing inker but by also lettering and pencilling himself. He also had a very long career working for Disney designing retail packaging and stock art for use on everything you can imagine. I actually own a piece of his Winnie the Pooh original art (it’s at the framer... this is Mike!) and has some amazing stories of his 50 years in the biz! Happy bday Mike!!!! Happy Lunar New Year! OFFICIAL RELEASE OF ISSUE #10 “THRIVE 盛” —— grab a copy HERE!

“Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still” 

Sine Theta Magazine is thrilled to welcome the prosperous, flourishing year of the boar with the official release of Issue #10 “THRIVE 盛”! Presenting poetry, photography, short stories, personal narratives and visual art by Sino creatives worldwide, this issue features interviews with visual designer Tiger Dingsun and poet He Dong offering insight on their respective creative influences and practice. Other works include spatial performance art by C. Grace Chang and Shuang Wu investigating the connection and reconstruction of physical distance, narratives by Lauren Lee and art director Elisabeth Siegel examining the ever-changing sense of the “self,” and poetry by Shicong Xie and editorial intern Li Yu reflecting the waxing and waning of time. 

Issue #10 showcases the endless nurture and cultivation from creatives, readers, supporters, and staff who will continue to blossom under the sun and thrive under moon.
