...Adjustment sketchbook sesh: studying a Dan Brereton pinup from David Mack's Kabuki (a super dope exploration of comics making techniques) while mixing in Noodle with an authentic Noh mask... riffing on the Book of Noodle lore since finally picking up a copy of the Gorillaz almanac the other day. Working on the Good Omens graphic novel. Doing some final rendering on the shot on the right. The crossed out panel needs to be redrawn. I will do that separately and drop that in digitally.

All art is by hand, with final digital color. I've done a lot of color already but I've hired Sean Lee and Logan and Lisa Lubrera to help out with colors, and they've been great, really moving production along. I'll be finished in about three months.

I am not very chatty in public these days because I just have no energy to spare, but you can find me at my Patreon for twice weekly online studio focus sessions. Sorry to seem so abrupt, I am really down the rabbit hole and don't dare get distracted.

LINEART UNTIL I'M FAMOUS: MONTH 1 COLOR UNLOCK - GOTH NURSE 🖋️🎨

Next up for the general public release! Today we are looking at the base color layout for the Goth Nurse character from the first month of the challenge.

When working with a dark, alternative palette, balancing the flat tones so the details don't get muddy before the rendering stage requires a very specific technical approach. My Ko-fi supporters already enjoyed early access to this, and they will be the first to get the upcoming lights and shadows versions once the final shading style is fully decided!

I truly want to live off my art, and building this versatility into my portfolio is key..
