I'm drawing a lot today

Except I don't know how to draw well so I'm just making a mess and Idk digital so wtv also I took too long on the halo just to get it SORTA right and I still don't like it and his face looks too soft I don't like that either I don't know how to draw hands facing forward so that sucks too Idk how to shade so shading is even worse and I also don't know how to draw wings so that's bad too and idk how to make clothing folds so that's bad and I also don't know perspective well so it's a mess and maybe I should just quit drawing lol I hate everything abt this I'm gonna throw it away idkidk whoops

#was hit with the realization lately that i never got to be a teenage boy #like i never got to grow up experiencing my masculinity or gender being understood or affirmed as a child or teenager #i never got to experience that like. bonding and physicality that boys have with each other #and i never got to really be a little girl or a teenage girl either bc i never understood femininity #like i just never fit. and now im in my mid 20s and i feel like im learning all of these lessons way later than the majority of my peers #and ik a lot of trans people experience this so i know im not alone #its just like sometimes i watch gay coming of age movies and im like wow i was so isolated and detached from my body i never got to have it #it sucks.#jo.txt

Imagine you are a known artist, and mangaka, drawing for the 10th anniversary of your biggest piece in your life, a beautiful pic of your characters in radiant colors and tones and you've mastered their appearance to what some may say perfection, and you just wanted to make a piece now that you have the time to do so among all your busy busy work, representing them in such a POSITIVE, GLOWING, ACHIVING, HAPPY light.... even if things aren't literally like that in your manga currently, even if it may never be like that ever in the plot ever again... you want this anniversary piece to really show them. THEM. Feeling happy and accomplished. "We did it!" "We've come so far together as a young master and butler characters in this chaotic butler manga!"

And some fans of this manga post the art on their blog and go "Aaaa they are so cute and romantic together 🥰 Sebaciel stay winning!"

Completely ignoring the entire fucking point even, the symbolism of the art, in favor of the stupidest, immature, shippy view your beloved manga has had to put up with. 💀
