SPIDER NOIR I’D DIE FOR YOU !!!!
The Spot revealed for spiderverse 2!!
Miles the horse is jere
literally imagine being chewed up and spit out into another universe and finding out the superior version of you who is better in every way morally, psychically, and mentally died. like, imagine knowing that you were the version who made it because you just fucking suck. you’re so jaded your heart wasn’t good enough to die. and on top of that you’ll never live up to better you’s legacy by virtue of being alive.
Me and @scholarlypidgeot were discussing the changes of religion in Spider-man.
Cause in the 2004 spider-man’s Aunt May is clearly a Christian. However into the Spiderverse Peter Parker is clearly stomping on a glass, a Jewish tradition.
So, clearly the family is inter religious but how?
1) Peters mom was Jewish and the Parkers were Christian. Peter however, chose to follow Judaism based on their matrilineal tradition.
2) The Parkers were Jewish, and Peters family was Jewish. But Ben married Aunt May, a Christian.
This took more time than it should have
somehow i’ve missed it every time but peter b says “step three re-examine my personal biases” after miles says that the head scientist they’re looking for is a woman. we stan
Also way random but I feel like the ending of having all the spider people go to their own dimension Should be bitter sweet to me because it’s like you get to know these people and you get attached and suddenly they have to leave but like..as someone who’s main support group people are all long distance “remember you’re not alone even if the people who get you are a dimension away” was actually part of what made Into The Spiderverse so nice for me.
You’re the sunflower, kid!
I sobbed uncontrollably throughout most of Spider-Verse, but a film has rarely made me happier. When I saw so much gorgeous fan art for it on here, I just had to give it a shot myself. So here’s my Miles (I’m sure there’ll be many more to come)!
