Ran would love dressing up his little girl and braiding her hair. As a teenager, I think your daughter would love sharing all the latest gossip with him. Dare if someone breaks her heart—poor guy is making his way to their deathbed.
Despite being a chill father, he's still scary to other kids. Not to his baby girl, though. When she gets older, he'll still call her by cute nicknames and treat her like his little baby, which annoys her every single time.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀˚˖ Rindou Haitani
The moment Rindou holds his baby girl, he tries to stop drinking and going out so he can spend more time with her.
As a toddler, he'll teach her how to fight—not defend herself. If she beats someone up, he'll proudly ramble about it while you have to apologize on his behalf.
He probably wrote a lot of songs for her when she was little. Then one day, teenage her discovers them with you, and both of you tease him nonstop. He pouts, saying he wrote them with love, while she secretly actually likes them.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀˚˖ Kakucho
At first, he'll be scared to even hold his daughter, as if she's made of glass and might shatter. You encourage him, and when he finally holds her, he can't stop himself from crying.
He kisses your forehead and whispers, "Thank you, love... for giving me this precious family. I'll protect you and her, even if it means sacrificing everything."
I think he'll be a protective parent (not a helicopter one) but he'll ask so many questions and worry about everything, which often annoys her. Eventually, though, they always make up and get along.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀˚˖Kanji Mochizuki
Ahhh, I love him sooo much. He'd be the best girl dad.
I think he'd be overprotective of her, but at the same time he'd make sure he never scares his own daughter. Even if other parents think he looks intimidating, she'll always defend him.
Surprisingly, he's probably the most chill father. He'll always help his daughter while also correcting her because he doesn't want her to end up making the same mistakes he did.
If she ever looks like him or gets bullied because of her weight/looks, he'll make sure she stands up for herself and stays confident.
Even if he doesn't understand fashion, makeup, or other "girly" things, he'll try to learn them just so the two of them can bond.
˖𓍢ִ໋❀˚˖ Yasuhiro Muto
Unlike the others, I think he'd be a strict and overprotective father. At the same time, he understands privacy and boundaries, while you're usually the one keeping him in check.
He's definitely the type of dad to become suspicious the moment his daughter introduces her boyfriend.
He secretly keeps every handmade Father's Day or birthday gift she gives him, along with every picture of her. You always tease him that he should loosen up, but whenever he actually tries to act chill, she wonder if he's gone crazy.
When it comes to baking, though, he and his daughter always gang up on you.
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀˚˖ Izana Kurokawa
Before she's even born, he'll read parenting books and prepare everything she could possibly need. As the founder of Tenjiku's NGO, he already has experience with kids, so he wants to be the best father he can.
Then his tiny little baby finally arrives... and suddenly he has anxiety over everything.
"Why is she crying?"
"Why isn't she sleeping?"
"Is she sick?"
Meanwhile, you're doing your best to reassure him.
Over time, your baby girl becomes close with everyone and ends up being the most spoiled child ever by all her uncles and aunts.
˖𓍢ִ໋❀˚˖ Shion Madarame
Honestly, I feel like Shion is more boy dad coded, but if he had a daughter, he'd spoil her so much.
He'll overhype everything she does. Even the smallest achievement becomes the biggest accomplishment in the world because, to him, his daughter is simply the best. You always laugh at how dramatic he gets.
The two of you spend so much time taking pictures of her and making memories together. His gallery is basically filled with photos of her.
He also talks way too much about his Black Dragon and Tenjiku days. Eventually, your daughter gets so used to hearing the same stories that she can finish them before he does.
Unpopular opinion on tokyorev which is probably gonna make me dig my own grave .....
TW: Gonna be my own headcanon or own interpretation) I love all characters in the show, I just need to yap idc if you guys feel offended. I apologise in advance ( why would you take someone like me seriously lol anyway it's midnight thoughts) spoiler alert: many of the characters or stuff haven't been animated yet
1. Forced hatred toward Karen: Like I get it she wasn't saint, but her hatred toward her is so forced. She was the one who got cheated on by her husband with some Filipino woman then raised his bastard with her own daughter. Also it's hypocrisy of herself she did the same thing. However, I still doubt what if Makato (Shin/Mikey's father) maybe he manipulated or lied to her, either way they both were in a problematic. She had two children maybe she used their father to secure money after he died she send them safest places possible as she knew she isn't the best person to raise her childrens at least in orphange Izana will get decent education food shalter same with emma at in sano family they treat her nicely all I blame their father more, like wdym he have a beautiful wife with two sons still cheated on them ?.
2. Hypocrisy of fandom...: many people in this fandom hate like really hate female characters for lame ass reasons. Like they aren't well written or extremely sexualized, but the same thing can be said for male characters as well, still we praised them for the same thing *cough* Haitani brothers *cough* Hanma.... (I love them still they barely had any point in the story apart from face card) still we all enjoy them but hate Hina and Emma for the same reason. This reminds me of Yuzu kicking Inui's ass for protecting her younger bro some people hating her for that like what she's supposed to do ?? but praised Ran being overprotective bro for showcasing one reaction.
3. This remind me of Takeomi: the amount of mischaracterization this guy had is insane lile you guys forgive izana and taiju for being so young or have troublesome background but when it comes to him everyone makes him sound like predator/abuser, etc.... refuse to acknowledge all character development. At least he tries to be nice to Senju maybe try to be good with Sanzu but we didn't get any single panel of them together as much the one we saw their interaction itself was weird (Takeomi wasn't mad only with Sanzu and Senju he was also scolding Mikey for ruining Shin's sleep maybe he was in bad mood like what do you expect 16 yo ). We saw Sanzu with Senju at the end they get along . Also, Sanzu never looked up to Takeomi, nor did he hold anything against him either. Also, Senju never tell Takeomi the truth till very end before that Omi thought Sanzu was crazy and ran away like always (Sanzu stabbed Omi before trying to run away, so I think he used it) but after knowing everything he might try to act better. Guess what we never get a single panel of Takeomi in the last arc.
4. The main villain of this show was Sano Men: agree with me or not they were the main cause of everything. Imagine if Gramps Sano were a little bit strict on his grandson (mikey) to disband his stupid gang and help in the dojo instead of letting him go unruly with stupid gang shit. Like this old man, who lost not only his son, but also his daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, still learn no lessons. Still, he was old and the only man who was supposed to be the breadwinner.
The makato (mikey/shin father): This pomeranian ass man smashs two prettiest women in the show like how ??!!!. Even tho he had the least screen time, he was a decent father at least to Mikey and Shin. Still, I think I blame him for ruining both sons' emotional health. He was emotionally repressed and loser like we see in Mikey's mom telling mikey how his father never cries or shows any bad emotions there are chance both parents often fight shout and scream in private kid Shin was around they cover up act nice parents for his sake but this only ruines his emotional ablity as he thought it okay to surpressed emotion outburst or these feelings only exist for private this explain why in original timeline when Mikey was dying Shin act decent around childrens or friends in private he was lossing himself mentally and physically. Same thing we saw with Mikey, who refused to show all negative emotions in front of others, believing he was the strongest even tho it was just ruining his own mental and emotional self.
Now we're talking about Shin so focus on him: Shin was the biggest idiot and saddest character in the show. Most of the time he digs his own grave. He literally suffers from "Older sibling syndrome". He thinks he is doing right but he often ends up doing worse, you know what I mean if you guys read 270 chp. I will get so much hate for this. Shin somehow ruined the life of Takeomi, Izana, Mikey, and Sanzu. (I'll write some other day about this in details)
At first, Takeomi never wanted to be delinquent. He was an average kid with an average life. Chase Shin has always had this weird, godly charisma, and without Shin Takeomi is nothing. Both know that, however, Shin never tries to help out or fix Takeomi. Mind you, Takeomi was younger than Shin, and didn't have as privileged of good parents as Shin had. Takeomi was a perfect example of forced parenting or what happens when you force a 14-year-old to be a parent of a toddler of course, he had a different view compared to Shin, who had decent parents who taught him to be kind or "nice guy."
I know a lot of people romantice and love Shin this side honestly its fucked up if you actually be with someone who is people pleaser as these people never be honest people pleaser they just love the idea of people being happy it doesnt matter if it actually good or bad like he went manila to find Izana bio mom we have no idea what exactly happend out there still we can assume Shin is aware that Izana is half Filipino, but he never tell that to Izana because shin already expected Izana's reaction, Same with Mikey even as kid Mikey had this weird obession over beating people (which literally lead as far as almost killing someone like Sanzu) considering everything Shin never tries to be strict or taught Mikey instead tell Sanzu to continue befriend with Mikey ?!.. (Like Mikey could kill Sanzu ).. Still, Sanzu always admires Shin more than anyone, that's why he may forgive Mikey, also kids often forget stuff like that or act cool in front of adults. Still, if it were the opposite case Idks Shin would act the same.
This make me think this guy is ENFJ which makes sense why he was manipulative and a loser without even trying to be...
Mikey even in canon is said to be a villain. Even though he had sob ass backstory, he never learns to hold accountability. He either ignores the sulk or just dies, tries to run away. Except for the final timeline, he in always be in control of someone, that someone will always be his own loyal man ( Sanzu, Kisaki, Izana? ). None of them really wants the best for Mikey, they all just want to ruin him. He knew that he still let these folks be with him. Honest I like hdc of him being Audhd which explains half of his shitty behavior at the end of the show, even though everyone had character development, he stays the same as a man-child.
For this I blame his family they never hold him accountable. They always encourage his stupid behavior. Like I get it he was the youngest spoiled still Shin knew gang life is dangerous considering he was the leader of big bosozoku around the 1990s. (I don't need to explain why they were worse). He kept on encouraging Mikey and Izana in gang life tries to influence them, at least Shin Takeomi is better he tries to keep his siblings away as much as he can. No doubt Izana and Mikey both idolized Shinichiro and decided to be gang leaders even tho no one can achieve Shin's level of leadership all failed.
Sanzu's blind loyalty to Mikey ?: I Doubt Sanzu was loyal to Mikey blindly as everyone in fandom or show seems like... No doubt Sanzu had a yangire tendency still he barely respects Mikey's choices despite being a childhood friend somewhere till now ( ktm arc). Sanzu still views Mikey as a fragile sick boy from the Og timeline. Like I get it, Sanzu himself was traumatized witnessing his only friend in such a state, family issues, then time-leap stuff... Finally, he talks about everything to a trusted adult like Shin who justifies killing "as long as Mikey is alive."
Somehow, Sanzu himself is a victim of forced parenting like Omi. or maybe generation truama? .. He may see Mikey as a weak kid who acts superior. Sanzu had to take care of him, as Shinichiro sacrificed himself for this. Also Sanzu only had a genuine connection from Shin as he was the only guy who treated him nicely unlike the rest of the people around him who barely cared. If that guy sacrificed himself then it must be protected. Many times we have seen Sanzu make plans by himself without telling anyone else he didn't even care about Mikey's choice or decisions.
I believe in Bonten; he would make all decisions on behalf of Mikey. Only in extremely rare cases would he go to Mikey; otherwise, he would rarely let Mikey know half of the things going on in the criminal organisation. Maybe the same reason why Sanzu hates Kakucho as Mikey might start trusting Kakucho more and giving him more privileges, and Sanzu can't go against Mikey hence he hates Kakucho.. (lowkey give me vibe of those Chinese consort drama). This also explains why he tries to avoid connection from his siblings or muto as they might distract him (honest I'll write about this later as it totally diff topic I'll like to yap about)
By end I'm happy for Sanzu ending he wants to be like Baji and Mikey the guys who talk with everyone and enjoy everything he able to do in the final timeline as an influencer/YouTuber. with his siblings, he's able to heal his inner child. Honest I wonder how final timeline Sanzu will react to Bonten Sanzu they are both the same person but different personalities. (although I think it's trauma that changes Sanzu Bonten's personality)
Six-year-old you had been crying for what felt like hours.
Two daycare workers were already exhausted, trying everything they could think of to calm you down, but nothing worked.
Every time they wiped your tears, you cried even harder, calling for your mother. "I want Mama...!"
One of the workers sighed. "She's surprisingly fast for such a little girl."
While the two women were distracted talking to each other, you suddenly slipped out of one's grasp and ran down the hallway.
Your tiny bunny plushie was clutched tightly against your chest as you hid inside an empty room, burying your face into it while sobbing.
A few moments later, someone quietly sat beside you. You didn't even look at him. You just kept crying.
"...Your face is all red."
You froze for a second before glaring at the boy through watery eyes. "I don't like you..."
The boy only grinned wider. "You look funny."
"I said I don't like you!"
He laughed, not bothered in the slightest. After a moment, his smile softened as he tilted his head. "...Do you miss your mom?"
You sniffled and nodded without saying a word.
"Mine too." He smiled as if it were the most normal thing in the world. "She told me she had something important to do. But she'll come back one day."
You slowly looked at him. He didn't seem sad....He believed every word he said. Somehow... that bright smile made you stop crying.
"So don't worry." He bumped your shoulder lightly. "Your mom will come back too."
For the first time since arriving at the daycare, your sobs finally quieted.
The boy stood up and held out his hand with a confident grin."It's hard surviving this place by yourself. Stay with me."
You stared at his hand for a long moment before wiping your tears with your sleeve. "...Only if you promise."
"Hm?"
"You won't leave me."
The boy blinked before laughing. "That's easy." He puffed out his chest proudly. "I promise... I'll never leave you"
You studied his face for another second, then slowly reached out and placed your tiny hand in his. "...Okay."
"My name's Kurokawa Izana."
"...I'm ...Y/N."
From that day onward, the two of you became almost impossible to separate.
You constantly dragged Izana into whatever game came to your mind, and whenever he refused, you'd burst into tears until he finally gave in. For some reason, Izana absolutely hated seeing you cry.
"I don't wanna play house again," Izana groaned as you shoved the paper crown into his hands.
"You have to," you insisted. "You're the prince."
"I was the prince yesterday. And the day before." Izana clicked his tongue before looking at you suspiciously. "...Why do I always have to be the prince?"
You looked at him as if the answer was obvious. "Because I'm the princess.... princesses marry princes."
Izana blinked once before making the most disgusted face a nine-year-old could manage. "Eww."
Your cheeks puffed up. "What's 'eww' supposed to mean?!"
"It means you're weird."
You stomped your foot before pushing the crown back against his chest. "I don't wanna marry a king."
"Why not?"
"Because kings are dads."
Izana stared at you for a few seconds before a mischievous grin spread across his face. "Then become the queen."
You frowned. "...Huh?"
"I'll be the king. You can be the queen."
You immediately shook your head. "No! Queens are moms!"
For a second, Izana just stared at you before bursting into laughter. "You're actually stupid."
You immediately smacked his arm. "I'm not stupid!"
"...Ow! Fine, fine!" Izana quickly put the crown back on before you started crying. "I'll be the dumb prince again."
Over the time Izana dragged a little boy over to you. "Y/N, this is Kakucho."
You stared at the quiet boy for a second before your eyes settled on the large scar across his head. It reminded you of the marks you sometimes saw on your mother's arms, only much worse.
"Does it hurt?" you asked without thinking.
Kakucho looked surprised by the question before touching his cheek. "...Not anymore."
You simply nodded before smiling. "Okay."
Izana rolled his eyes before pushing Kakucho toward you. "See? I told you she isn't scary."
"I never said she was..."
"You thought it."
Kakucho quietly looked away, making Izana laugh.
Eventually, Kakucho opened up, and before long, the three of you were together almost every day. The only problem was whenever you wanted to play house, Izana and Kakucho would immediately come up with another game.
"Let's go play tag," Izana quickly suggested.
Kakucho nodded. "Yeah... tag sounds fun."
You narrowed your eyes at the two boys. "You just don't wanna play with me."
"We do."
"Then play house."
"...No."
Before you could grab either of them, both boys took off running across the yard.
"Get back here!" you shouted while chasing after them. "Cowards!"
One Day, one of the caretakers came to get Izana, saying he had a visitor. Curious, you and Kakucho quietly followed behind, hiding near the entrance while watching from a distance. After all, Izana always talked about his mother coming back one day.
Instead, a weird teenager with a pompadour was waiting outside. Izana immediately smiled and ran over to him while you frowned in confusion.
"...That's not his mom ," you whispered.
Kakucho slowly shook his head. "...Who is that?"
The two of you continued watching from your hiding spot until the older boy suddenly lifted Izana onto the back of his motorcycle.
Your eyes widened. "He's kidnapping Zana!"
Before Kakucho could stop you, you ran out from behind the wall and stood in front of the motorcycle with both arms spread wide.
"You can't take him! I won't let you kidnap my friend"
The older boy blinked. "...Huh?"
Behind you, Kakucho nervously peeked out from the corner before quickly hiding again.
The older boy stared at you for a second before bursting into laughter. "Izana, Your little friend is trying to save you."
Izana covered his face with one hand. "...She's not little."
Shinichiro crouched down until he was closer to your height and smiled. "I'm Sano Shinichiro. I'm Izana's older brother."
You narrowed your eyes suspiciously. "Liar. You don't look alike."
Shinichiro laughed so hard he almost lost his balance. "Ouch... she's got me there."
He reached over, trying to poke your nose, but you immediately slapped his hand away. "Don't touch me."
Shinichiro raised an eyebrow before glancing back at Izana with a teasing grin. "So this is your little girlfriend?"
Izana's face instantly turned red. "She's not my girlfriend!"
"Really? She was ready to fight me for you."
"Because she thought you were kidnapping me!"
You folded your arms and frowned at Shinichiro. "You're making weird stuff up."
Shinichiro only laughed harder while ruffling Izana's hair. "Relax, I'm just teasing."
That after Izana finally explained everything, you and Kakucho discovered he actually had an older brother... and a little sister named Emma. And how his older brother preparing to take him back home.
However
After that incident, Izana was never the same. The cheerful boy who used to laugh with you slowly disappeared, replaced by someone much colder.
Before long, he was sent to juvenile detention, leaving you and Kakucho alone at the orphanage.
When Izana finally returned, he barely glance at two of you. Kakucho and you thought that juvenile might changed him.
Soon you heard some rumors about Izana is some gang leader you don't understand anything about gang but kakucho and you runaway from orphanage and live his place.
Even if he acted distant, you and Kakucho continued following him whenever he showed up. It became such a common sight that Izana eventually stopped telling the two of you to go home.
Not long after that, Izana finally decided to introduce you and Kakucho to the people he'd been spending all his time with.
"So these are the kids?" Ran asked with an amused smile as he looked between you and Kakucho.
Before you could answer, Shion pushed past him and walked straight over. "The name's Shion Madarame. I'm one of Izana's strongest men. If you ever need anything, just ask me."
Mochi looked at him for a few seconds before sighing. "Every damn time..." He reached over and smacked the back of Shion's head. "Quit making yourself sound important."
Shion rubbed the back of his head and shot him an annoyed glare. "The hell was that for?"
"You've said that to every new person you've met."
"So? It's called making an impression."
"It's called being full of yourself."
You couldn't help staring at the two of them before leaning toward Izana. "...Are they always like this?"
Izana didn't even look surprised. "Pretty much."
Before you could say anything else, Ran casually walked over and leaned down until your faces quietly studying you without saying a word.
You frowned and took half a step back. "...Why are you staring at me?"
"Hm..." Ran smiling to himself. "There we go. I can finally see your face."
You blinked in confusion.
"Never mind he got terrible eye sight," Rindou muttered with a tired sigh before looking toward you and Kakucho. "People always think he trying to scare them."
Then Ran asked Izana "Still don't get why Izana keeps dragging kids around."
"They're from the orphanage," Izana answered before either you could respond. "We grew up together."
Rindou scratched the back of his neck and looked away. "...Didn't know that."
"It's fine," you replied, though you still folded your arms. "You're still kind of mean."
Ran laughed under his breath while Rindou clicked his tongue, clearly annoyed at himself for making a bad first impression.
Mucho quietly walked over to Kakucho. "Izana says you've started learning how to fight."
Kakucho looked a little surprised that he already knew his name, but nodded anyway. "I'm... still not very good."
"You'll get there," Mucho replied calmly. "Just don't rush it."
Even though you found them strange at first, it didn't take long before you got along with everyone.
But as the months passed, you noticed Izana slowly changing.
He still smiled... but it wasn't the same smile you had fallen for. He spent more and more time with his gang, often coming home exhausted, carrying burdens he refused to share with anyone.
You hated it.
Not because he had changed...
But because you no longer knew how to make him smile the way he used to.
One rainy evening, the apartment door slowly opened and Izana stepped inside completely soaked.
You immediately stood up from the couch and grabbed a towel. "You're completely drenched." You walked over and reached up to dry his hair.
but before the towel could touch him, Izana grabbed your wrist and pushed your hand away.
"Just leave me alone," he muttered, avoiding your eyes as he sat down against the wall. "I'm not in the mood today."
You frowned before quietly sitting down beside him anyway. "You're never this quiet." You nudged his shoulder with yours, trying to make him look at you. "Did something happen?"
Izana let out a hollow laugh and buried his face in his hands. "Something always happens.?! They lied to me... all of them. My mother... my brother... everyone kept lying until there was nothing left."
You stared at him in disbelief. It was the first time you'd ever seen him like this, and before you realized it, your own eyes had already begun to sting. Seeing him break apart in front of you hurt far more than you wanted to admit.
"Don't cry," Izana said the moment he noticed your tears. He looked away with a frustrated sigh before rubbing his face. "I don't want you looking at me like this."
"I'm crying because you're crying," Without asking, you wrapped both arms around him and rested your head against his shoulder. "You keep saying you don't have anyone... but that's not true... We are still together"
"Don't say things you don't understand." He looked at you with tired eyes. "Life isn't like those stupid games we used to play as kids. You can't just pretend people are family because you want them to be."
You tightened your arms around him instead of letting go. "Then we'll become one. You, me, and Kakucho. He's basically our little brother already, so we'll make our own family."
Izana simply stared at you as he was trying to decide whether to believe your words, then suddenly pulled you into a tight embrace and buried his face against your shoulder.
"...Promise me," he whispered after a long silence. "Promise you'll stay... and give me the family I never had."
You smiled softly before hugging him back just as tightly. "I already promised you that years ago." You gently rested your forehead against his. "This time... I'm old enough to keep it."
Over time, life slowly began to settle down.
Kakucho eventually rented a small apartment only a few streets away. He still came over almost every day.
While you looked around the tiny living room before letting out a dramatic sigh. "I can't believe the great Izana Kurokawa lives in a place this small."
Izana raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong with it?"
"Everything." You pointed around the apartment with both hands. "The sofa's too old, the kitchen's tiny, and don't even get me started on the bathroom. This place doesn't even look cute."
A quiet laugh escaped him. "So that's your biggest concern?"
"Of course it is." You crossed your arms and pouted. "I want a house that looks like the ones in those fashion magazines. Big windows, pretty furniture, flowers outside..." Your eyes lit up as you kept talking.
Izana watched you ramble without interrupting. The corner of his lips slowly lifted before he reached over and pulled you into his lap. "You always dream too big."
You rested your head against his shoulder and smiled. "Someone has to."
He wrapped both arms around your waist and rested his chin on your head "...I'll become king."
You looked up at him in confusion before laughing. "You're still calling yourself that?"
"I told you when we were kids." A faint smile appeared on his face. "I'll become king.....And you'll be my queen."
Years ago, you would have puffed out your cheeks and argued that queens were mothers.
This time...
You only smiled. "...Okay... I'll be your queen" You leaning against him again. "But don't dare to leave me alone never"
"You won't have to worry about anything," Izana said quietly as he tightened his arms around you. "I'll make sure nobody hurts you ever again."
You smiled without a second thought. "I know."
Present ~
"I didn't expect you to be here," you said as you looked up from Izana's gravestone, carefully arranging the bags of snacks and drinks around it.
Kakucho scratched the back of his neck before giving a small shrug. "Neither did I."
Ran walked over while dragging a grumbling Rindou with him. Mochizuki and Shion followed close behind.
You blinked in surprise. "...All of you?"
Ran shrugged his shoulders. "Thought we'd finally come visit the king."
It had been almost two years since Izana died. You visited him often, but this was the first time everyone had come together.
Mochizuki's attention shifted to the pile of snacks surrounding the gravestone. "Damn... you really brought all of that for him?"
The moment he reached for a taiyaki, you smacked his hand away. "Oi. Those snacks are for Izana, not for you."
Mochizuki rubbed the back of his hand with a frown. "He's not gonna eat them."
"Maybe not, but you're definitely not eating them either."
Shion burst into laughter while Mochizuki clicked his tongue. "You're so stingy."
Ran ignored the two of them and quietly placed a bottle of wine in front of the gravestone.
"You never got to celebrate your twentieth birthday... so here. You'll probably like this."
The moment Rindou saw the label on the bottle, his eyes narrowed. "...Brother."
"What?"
"That's my wine."
Ran looked down at the bottle before nodding. "Yeah."
"You stole it from my collection."
"Borrowed it."
Rindou folded his arms. "You didn't even ask."
Ran grinned. "Because you'd have said no."
Rindou sighed in defeat. "...You're unbelievable."
Your eyes never left Izana's name carved into the stone. "...I still hate you for breaking your promise....You promised you'd never leave me... you promised you'd never hurt me... and you promised you'd always protect me."
Your fingers slowly tightened against the cold stone. "...And here I am."
Kakucho quietly lowered his head. He understood why Izana had made that choice, but understanding it never made accepting it any easier.
Mochizuki smiled faintly as he looked at the snacks. "Remember when we'd raid convenience stores after meetings?"
Ran chuckled. "He'd always grab every snack he wanted..."
"...Then disappear before paying," Mochizuki finished with a sigh.
A quiet laugh escaped you. "...Yeah. That sounds exactly like him."
Shion suddenly crossed his arms. "You know... I think I'm cursed....Every gang I join loses its leader."
A brief silence followed before Rindou laughed. "Don't ever say that in front of Sanzu now that we're in Kanto Manji."
Shion immediately looked horrified. "Hell no! That creepy bastard would actually kill me if something happened to Mikey!"
Even Kakucho smiled. "...Yeah... he probably would."
Kakucho looked back at Izana's gravestone, his smile disappearing. "...Sometimes I still think it should've been me."
You immediately turned toward him. "Don't say that....Stop pitying yourself and live the life Izana sacrificed for. If you keep wishing you died instead of him, then you're throwing away the life he protected."
Kakucho looked down at the ground without replying.
You slowly turned back toward the gravestone. "...Izana always acted like he didn't care." A shaky smile crossed your face as tears blurred your vision."...But he cared about everyone more than himself."
The memory came back before you could stop it.
Back when Izana had become Tenjiku's leader, he'd locked you inside the apartment. You cried and banged on the door, begging him to let you go with him, refusing to leave him alone.
You still remembered him stopping outside the door.
His voice had been so quiet you almost hadn't heard it. "If anything happens to you... I'll never forgive myself."
Your shoulders trembled. "...Idiot."
Nobody said anything for a while.
Ran quietly uncorked the wine bottle before pouring a little onto the ground. He raised the bottle toward the gravestone with a faint smile. "You would've been twenty-one this year. Happy birthday, king."
A comfortable silence settled over the group. It lasted for exactly five seconds.
"...Oi."
You turned around just in time to see Shion stuffing a taiyaki into his mouth while holding a bag of chips under his arm.
You stared at him. "...Shion."
He froze. "...What?"
"Those were for Izana!"
Shion swallowed the bite in his mouth. "He would've shared."
"Give them back!"
"I already took a bite!"
"Then give me the rest!"
Mochizuki burst into laughter while Shion hurried away with the snacks. "See? I told you she'd chase you!"
"Shut up! Help me!" Shion shouted as you ran after him.
Ran watched the chaos with an amused smile before reaching for the wine bottle again.
Rindou immediately slapped his hand away. "Oi. Stop drinking my wine."
"It's Izana's birthday."
"It's still my wine."
"You're so stingy."
"Says the thief."
Mochizuki laughed even harder as the Haitani brothers started arguing beside the gravestone.
Looking at everyone bickering, stealing snacks, and causing trouble around him,
Ran smiled softly toward Izana's grave.
"...You would've loved this."

I miss the yandere Tokyo Revengers era like my heart misses a beat. Did anyone remember that one fanfic? I guess that was 2 or 3 years ago in Wattpad (not sure if they delete or take away), but it was like a collection of oneshorts (or short fic) of different tr characters x reader, although it was more horror slasher agsty or I should say psychological horror than typical fanfic. I forget it's name, despite searching for it everywhere.
Don’t kill me lol. I found these outfit inspo pics on Pinterest and immediately thought of them. This is just a random headcanon based on my personal opinion.
Something kazutora and rindou gonna wear on date with you/hc
Shin's dream wedding outfit idc it's something I'll forced on him (idc I'm delelu lemme)
Izana and kakucho coded. King and his loyal knight
Izana brought these for himself but mikey and baji stolen it from Izana's wardrobe because they want to go on date with you
Why do "some" artists still whitewash Izana like it's 2026? Can we stop doing that already? We barely get any sa/sea rep in anime and when we do, ppl still end up whitewashing/lighting them up.
And yeah, I get Mikey "cosplay Izana" in the Bonten arc. Still, it doesn't make sense to me that Izana's eyes have more innocence/sadness. Whereas Mikey in Bonten just looks more dead.
Maybe I'm overreacting but it just bothers me. Why are some ppl still doing this till now, esp on Pinterest/tt… like it's okay if there were few but I saw a lot of em anyways, I don't mean to be rude or target anyone specifically... You can ignore this.
