Oh boy. Um...
Favourite Line : from Izolda
She laughed like honey bees on a summer meadow, her eyes like embers glowing from the winter fires, and her hair like gold from the fields of grains.
Favourite Scene : there were a few of them... This one still makes me giggle, the awkward moment between Sihtric and Mirin from Ugly Cat : The Fall of Sihtric
“I know that this is not at all work place appropriate,” Mirin paused, her eyes glancing at the floor, “but I think you should let me make you dinner.”
“Okay.” Sihtric nodded. Maybe a bit too eagerly.
“It's absolutely platonic, business relationship type of way. I have some things that I want to discuss, as your general manager and I think it could be done best over...did you say okay?”
“I did.”
“Really?”
“Why not?"
“I don't know?”
13. favorite writing song/artist/album of this year
Favourite Song : The Best Surprise by The East Pointers
Favourite Artist : Probably Beòlach
Favourite Album : I had two favourite playlists. A Cozy Celtic Christmas, which helped me write Christmas Conundrum
And for everything else there was 528 Hz

fanfic end of the year asks
She was told that she could meet people like her here. She's never seen another orcat, though, nor has she even seen another aquatic animal with hydromancy powers...But she'll knock on that big, heavy door anyways, body wobbling with every movement.
...Come to think of it, she can't remember who called her here. Just that she was called...weird.
The door opened up, revealing a woman with silver hair and blue eyes on the other side, with an extremely large chest, a shirt unbuttoned to reveal copious amounts of cleavage, and wide hips.
"Yup." The woman looked up and down at her. "Tsk That's the body of a Sister." She steps aside and motions for this aquatic lady to step in.
"Izolda Kvaratskhelia."
Kai Fen sighed, headed in to the Housing Complex. He passed a gaggle of people coming out of the lift, ignored Tamar’s offer to take him up in it (“Come on! I tweaked it a bit, it’ll get you up so much faster now!”) and headed straight for the stairs. He opened the door only to find Izolda on the other side, hand on the door knob. He stared at her, and she at him, until she laughed softly.
“Sorry I can’t join you in going up,” she said. Kai Fen made a point to hold the door open for her and she smiled a thank you as she stepped through. “Promised Parvana I would meet her for coffee.”
“You’re talking to Parvana again?” He really couldn’t understand their relationship. He supposed he just might not understand girls.
Izolda shrugged. “Depends on how this meeting goes.” She gave Kai Fen a little wave. “See you tomorrow morning!”
Then she was off, shoes clicking down the hallway in a brisk walk. Kai Fen watched her go, rolled his eyes and disappeared into the stairwell when Tamar gave her a similar taunt to what she’d given him.

I always imagined there would be some sexual undertones in the relationship between Jenn and Pier, as well as some slightly (?) homoeroticism in the relationship between Mei and Izolda, but now that I think of it, I wanna make the intimacy between Jenn and Pier even more explicit. Pier's murder is arguably one of the major events in the whole story since he never really dies: he's still invading Jenn's headspace after the murder and she sees his ghost everywhere. Also five years later he is somehow resurrected (??) cause Izolda remarries with a man who looks like his identical twin.
Pier is definitely an object of desire to Jenn, although she's completely unable to identify the source of that desire ; is it the way he asserts dominance through manipulation and mind games that reminds her of her father? Is it the danger? Is it the taboo? Is it the fact she knows he's able to destroy her? Is it the power she has upon him? Is it that quiet, mature kind of virility oozing from everything he does that she wants to steal from him by killing him?
There's also a mirror game going on between Jenn and Izolda who somehow look alike despite their differences. It's like Jenn is Izolda's lost youth brought back to life. Decay has already left its marks upon Izolda's body ; wearing a mask is no longer necessary. Jenn on the other hand is like a star about to turn into a supernova, like a sharp sword wrapped up in silk. And that mirroring explains Pier's infatuation for Jenn who's got that blooming sexuality and ethereal youth while Izolda, his soulmate and life partner, has grown to be a purely intellectual creature, almost fleshless.
Having a secret to keep from Mei sure felt good to Jenn but it wasn't the reason why she wanted to get closer to Pier ; at some point she already has everything she needs to be able to reach her goal and kill him, but she chooses to dig deeper, seeking his company more than necessary.
Mei was what Jenn wanted in the first place: she liked her eyes on her, her attention made her feel alive and beautiful, or at least, worthy of being noticed. For a brief moment yeah, she recklessly thought making Mei jealous would make her feel good. Mei still has the upper hand when it comes to superficial interactions, and of course Jenn doesn't mind, she likes the taste of her venom. But she also knew things Mei didn't know, she was able to do things Mei never thought she could do although she was the first to see Jenn's "potential". Mei thought she was the one who allowed that thing between Pier and Jenn to happen, because the end justifies the means, but she would never be able to grasp the depth of their relationship quite accurately, that's why she will never fully understand why Jenn became so "different" after the murder as well ; only thing she knows is that she fell irrevocably in love with her when she saw the blood on her hands.
(this whole story reeks of incest and perversions lol I'm sorry😂)
I was actually thinking about naming that chapter of Smiles "Aberrations" obviously because it's the name of the studio ran by Mei but also because yeah it kinda fits the theme?
