Hey y'all! So, I've been very burnt out and depressed lately, hence why I haven't been on in a while, however I'm trying to get back to doing things that give me joy, and being on this site do just that!

I've been slowly working on some art and writing, and I definitely plan on posting soon, just as I plan on finishing my Vox Machina Season 3 liveblog as I still haven't finished the season yet, and I can't promise how fast things will come, but I really want to do that again.

Season 2 Episode 3!

Finally found time to watch more! My thoughts on Episode 3 ahead, w/ as few spoilers as i could manage

I'm really excited to get to know the new members of the Team and learn more about them, and i can't wait to see more of all of them! (especially Tim and Babs tho)

Also, i'm super disappointed that there isn't the full intro/theme song at the beginning of the episodes instead of just the title card. The theme song part always made me smile when i heard it, partially because of the nostalgia of hearing it after watching the first season when i was a kid. it makes me sad that it isn't at the beginning of the episodes anymore, partially because it always got me in the mood for the show

Also, while trying to stick to my whole "no spoilers" thing.......WTF Kaldur?! What ARE you doing?!? What is going on?! When I said i wanted to see you again this is NOT what I had in mind!

And the whole (current) Batfamily -- Batman, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Robin -- are on a mission together! And Aquaman, Lagoon Boy, Superman, Superboy, Wonder Woman, and Wonder Girl too, i guess, but i'm mainly excited about the Batfam! and their teamwork? amazing! I'm loving that I'm able to see Dick really stepping into his leadership position, and I'm so proud of how far he's come, both as a hero and a leader!

Also loved the way that Superman just yeets Superboy at some of the mechs. I'm also happy to see that Conner and Clark are getting along now, especially after how their relationship initially was, and to see some more of Cassie (and in turn her relationship with Diana)

Now that I've seen a good chunk of the OG team, I want to see what's going on with Wally, Artemis, and Roy even more, and I need to know where they are.

I decided to do the updates on my watchthrough, but i will try to keep them as spoiler-free as possible for those who haven't seen it (like me before today)

Anyways, i'm watching Young Justice season 2 episode 2, and I've gotta say, I'm proud of Conner and M'gann!

Conner is able to use x-ray/thermal vision no problem, he is also notably faster, able to leap higher, and i think stronger too, and M'gann has definitely expanded on her psychic, telekinetic, and phasing abilities to reach higher levels! especially considering how M'gann said in S1 that phasing is an extremely advanced ability, and her show of mental powers at the end to get Gar his souvenir, and yeah i know, it's been 5 years, but still! I'm so proud of both of them!

I'm also enjoying seeing Gar in this too. I remember when i rewatched season 1, I heard the name Garfield Logan and i immediately thought "Beast Boy!", and now he's Beast Boy! I can't wait to see more of him, and I'm already loving his relationship with M'gann, and how they're now adopted siblings, it's really cute. and also that scene by the waterfall? the way it shifted from playful to tragic so quickly? so well executed and nearly made me cry. and I love that he's continuing the whole, "collect a souvenir from each mission" thing, though it does make me wonder even more where Wally is.

I've also seen that even though they broke up(? what happened? there's gotta be more to that story) Conner and M'gann still clearly have feelings for each other, and i honestly loved the bit where Gar was talking to M'gann and was like "remember the time in Qurac when you and Superboy visited me?" in a very wink wink nudge nudge you-guys-still-have-feelings-for-each-other-and-i-can-see-it kind of way.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode a lot, and I love seeing more of the old team (though i do want to see more Tim), and i can't wait to see what's going to happen next!

I'm watching Young Justice rn

and i just started season 2 (i've only ever seen season 1 and like 3 minutes of the first episode of season 2) just finished season 2 episode one, and I loved it!

Basic thoughts because i want to get back to watching...

I am curious about what happened w/ Kaldur, and where Artemis & Wally are, and how Roy's doing on his search for the other Roy, but I'm liking the season so far!

I've seen quite a few things about the series on tumblr before, but I had no context or timeframe, so I think i'm good for spoilers, and I cannot wait to see more of Tim (and no, i am not biased because i love Tim in different media and I want to see more of my boy, why do you ask?)

I'm loving the action scenes too, and i'm really interested to see where the story will be going later

and also! I loved seeing Cassie and Babs as heroes! i remember Babs from season one, and I am so excited to see her as Batgirl (and later Oracle? I think?) and I just love Cassie in general so I'm excited to see more of her. and seeing Dick as Nightwing? awesome! I'm really excited to see where the show's gonna go later.

Anyways, I might post more updates on how my watchthrough is going later. Or I might not. We'll see.

So I'm writing my fanfic, and i've started like 8 diff docs, but I've managed to focus in on one for now, and i've turned out over 1200 words!

thinking about what other authors have done this seems so small but I'm so proud of what i've done because i'm happy with how it's turning out, and I keep reminding myself that i'm just starting out and i can always write more later, but i still feel so small compared to others 😅
