Volstrucker plotline from Caleb's perspective:
Volstrucker plotline from Essek's perspective:
Owen turning Legundo has to be one of the most dramatic scenes from both their povs. The music, the acting, the screaming, the threats, the pain and anguish coming from both of them, Legundo’s bloodied skin. Everything about it shows just how much their relationship has evolved since the start
just wondering, not as an attack, i swear, but did we see all the teasers quotes of previous years?? Because I didn't recognize many of them
Nope! whatever we didnt see in 2025 will likely be in 2026!
Sometimes I overestimate how far we'll get in a year
(2025 teaser for reference)
At the height of tensions in this kitchen scene ("We're way past that Buck - " "I am not!") there's a faint sound of a siren going off in the background (in an otherwise ambient-ly silent sound design scene) and I can't help but wonder if that's meant to signify something.
canonically, by this point in the timeline Eddie has lost the mother of his child, almost lost his best boy friend to a ladder truck bombing, almost lost his best boy friend and son to a tsunami, couldn't debrief, unwind, and talk to his best boy friend because of a Lawsuit so signed himself up at an illegal fighting club to Feel Something, almost kills a man at the Illegal Fight Club all the while feeling like he Needs to Be in Control and have everything sorted and Be Perfect. For Christopher, if not for himself.
and Eddie, who's never had anyone in his corner, suddenly finds himself bubble-wrapped in the arms of this 6'2 broad-shouldered bisexual man Who Knows Eddie, who's apologising for Not Being There (for the third time, to drive the point home), who's letting him know that he slipped once and he's never going to slip again (and he hasn't) and ever-ready to help Eddie without Eddie ever needing to Ask for it.
this is an important scene in the Buddie timeline (not only because of the IN YOUR FACE sexual chemistry) but because it shows us that Buck has been thinking, mulling and beating himself up about the time he didn't have Eddie's back. It shows us that Eddie, who's trying to get past this dark period of time, finds that he doesn't need to do it alone; that as long as Buck around, he's never going to have to do it alone ever again. there is a clear shift in their dynamic.
so no wonder there are sirens going off
"how would you write fuck or die chengxian"
POR QUE NO LOS DOS i guess! fuck it, we ball.
Thought that hasn't left my brain since the new episode premiered. When the Beths de-aged to 10 years old, they looked/were dressed just like little Beth C-137 when we see her in Rick’s flashbacks. So, is 10 the age she died at?
It really wouldn't matter, except that's older than I've ever seen anyone guess/headcanon her age as. Which would also be irrelevant, except... it means Rick and Diane got together and had Beth a lot younger than we previously thought.
And when Rick de-aged to 27 back in Fear no Mort, he looked the same as in his "fabricated" backstory. So uhh, wouldn't that make him 17 when Beth was born and likely mean he and Diane *had* to get married for the same reason Beth and Jerry did?
Consider also: in The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy, when Jerry says he and Beth had some good times, Rick replies, "I'm sure. That's how teen pregnancy happens." SIR, ARE YOU SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE?! I'm starting to think the answer's yes.
Granted, we don't know for sure that Rick WAS 27 and not a few years older in his actually-not-completely-fabricated backstory. That could just be an approximation from Morty’s mind/the Fear Hole. Then again, Morty HAS seen all of Rick’s memories, so he would know exactly how old Rick was at that time...
I dunno. I might have just written a lot of words about nothing. But this thought is driving me crazy, and I need people along for the drive, dammit.
