Oh he folds instantly.

Being in a relationship with Cross is literally the modern embodiment of a knight and his princess/prince/royalty. He is always putting himself between you and harm, whether the harm is verbal or physical. One thing goes wrong and he's already in front of you.

So calling him ANYTHING related to knights, especially if it involves pointing out how well he protects you?? Holy shit. You cracked the code.

No matter how far along you are in your relationship, no matter how comfortable Cross has gotten with your compliments, this will successfully get him to smile like a dork. Even if he tries to cover that smile, it's still noticeable in the way the corners of his eye sockets crinkle up.

...There's a chance that Cross will attempt to meet the gesture by calling you his princess/prince/etc., then immediately cringe because he feels awkward about it.

Well. At least he tried.

Owen turning Legundo has to be one of the most dramatic scenes from both their povs. The music, the acting, the screaming, the threats, the pain and anguish coming from both of them, Legundo’s bloodied skin. Everything about it shows just how much their relationship has evolved since the start

At the height of tensions in this kitchen scene ("We're way past that Buck - " "I am not!") there's a faint sound of a siren going off in the background (in an otherwise ambient-ly silent sound design scene) and I can't help but wonder if that's meant to signify something.

canonically, by this point in the timeline Eddie has lost the mother of his child, almost lost his best boy friend to a ladder truck bombing, almost lost his best boy friend and son to a tsunami, couldn't debrief, unwind, and talk to his best boy friend because of a Lawsuit so signed himself up at an illegal fighting club to Feel Something, almost kills a man at the Illegal Fight Club all the while feeling like he Needs to Be in Control and have everything sorted and Be Perfect. For Christopher, if not for himself.

and Eddie, who's never had anyone in his corner, suddenly finds himself bubble-wrapped in the arms of this 6'2 broad-shouldered bisexual man Who Knows Eddie, who's apologising for Not Being There (for the third time, to drive the point home), who's letting him know that he slipped once and he's never going to slip again (and he hasn't) and ever-ready to help Eddie without Eddie ever needing to Ask for it.

this is an important scene in the Buddie timeline (not only because of the IN YOUR FACE sexual chemistry) but because it shows us that Buck has been thinking, mulling and beating himself up about the time he didn't have Eddie's back. It shows us that Eddie, who's trying to get past this dark period of time, finds that he doesn't need to do it alone; that as long as Buck around, he's never going to have to do it alone ever again. there is a clear shift in their dynamic.

so no wonder there are sirens going off
