A space freighter hijacked by Cybermen was thrown back in time to approx 66 Million BC. Adric, a companion of the time traveling alien known as the Doctor, refused to leave the ship when the humans regained control because he was attempting to keep the ship from crashing into the Earth. Adric almost completed his task when a near death Cyberman shot the computer making the boy’s task impossible to complete. Meanwhile the Doctor and his companions defeated the Cyber-Leader holding them captive on the Doctor’s ship the TARDIS but not in time to save Adric as the ship he was on collided with the Earth causing the extinction of the dinosaurs. Favourite Characters
Rules: Name ten of your favorite characters (in no particular order) from ten different fandoms.
Thanks @moony-you-fold-your-socks for the tag! [You tagged me about a million years ago, but here I finally am. :) You know some JN characters are going to be on this list, right?]
1. Mr Knightley and Emma from Jane Austen (These two had to be on the list, and I couldn’t choose between them. Emma is a fascinating character whom I have grown to love. I don’t need to explain Mr K--this Mr K--being on the list, now do I?)
2. Phryne Fisher from Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (I want to be her in my next life.)
3. Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls (Strong, verbally adroit woman? I’m there!)
4. Tom Branson from Downton Abbey (Please don’t hurt me, Dan Stevens fans, I love Matthew as well! I just can’t resist a guy from the “other side of the tracks,” I guess.)
5. Sir Thomas More from The Tudors (Sir Thomas is so compelling, I can’t take my eyes off him whenever he’s on screen--despite those silly hats!)
6. Jeeves and Wooster from their fandom (I couldn’t separate them; together they are so much more than the sum of their parts.)
7. DS, later DI, Robbie Lewis from the Morseverse (I love how he more than held his own with such two idiosyncratic, sophisticated men. I’ve included pics of both his memorable partners in crime.)
8. Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables (My original strong, verbally adroit female favorite, from back before I knew there were such things as fandoms.)
9. Tommy and Tuppence Beresford from Agatha Christie (Another duo I couldn’t separate; these two have had a place in my heart since 1976, when I first read Partners in Crime.)
10. Anthony Eden from The Crown (I love all aspects of this character, but one in particular stood out to me. He came along at time when I was struggling with my own “invisible illness,” and it meant so much to see chronic illness and pain portrayed so realistically on screen.)
The rules say you’re supposed to tag ten people, so if you want to make your 10 characters list, consider yourself tagged by me! :)
