Happy 129th birthday to Ralph Capone!
(I didn’t expect this to be my first post of the year, so far 2023 has gotten me pretty burned out with school :p. Look out for an updated ref sheet tho and some NATM2 OC lore soon!)
129 years ago on January 12, 1894, Ralph was born in Angri, Campania, Kingdom of Italy. When he was 17 months old (a year and five months), he, his mom, his dad, and three-year-old Vincenzo (Jimmy) came to America on the Werra in June 1895.
He started playing baseball with his younger brother Al with a team called the Algerians when he was 18 and Al was (I think) 13. Ralph a pitcher and Al was a right-handed first baseman. They weren’t very good at the beginning but, with a lot of practice and some time, they started to get really good. Al started to pitch and Ralph took first or third.
Ralph got married to Filomena (Florence) Muscato at 21 on September 24, 1915. They then had a son together, Ralph Gabriel Capone Jr., in 1917. When Ralph movies to Chicago in 1920, his wife didn’t want to move so he brought Ralphie with him. There, Ralphie was raised by Ralph’s mom (Ralphie’s Grandmother) as her youngest son.
On the Chicago Crime Commission Public Enemies list, Ralph was listed as #3, while his brother, Al, was listed as #1. This is Ralph’s arrest records:
After being arrested in February 1928, he listed occupation as Horse Owner. In February 1930, he owned a horse named Charm: whose rider was JW Rrye.
3 of Diamonds Playing Card & Nikolai Gogol
For some reason it only just now occurred to me to find a reason for Nikolai to be wearing a three of diamonds card of all cards, and I've found a certain interpretation to be my favourite. I've copied a few paragraphs, but the full link is here.
The bolding is my highlights of particularly interesting parts.
"The 3 of Diamonds is the first of a trio of cards that represent restrictions and limitations in an otherwise very auspicious Diamond suit. The other two restrictive cards being the 6 of Diamonds and the 8 of Diamonds. The 3 of Diamonds combines the growth and expansiveness of the number three with the restlessness and changeability of the Diamond suit. The result is a card of unsustainable efforts and restrictive growth. "Some readers see positive financial growth in this card; in fact, I used to read it this way myself. But over the years I have found that for me the 3 of Diamonds is always challenging. At best it will show success only through blood, sweat and tears. When this card does represent money, it always indicates a tiny amount, or less money than you expect or hope to receive. "In a general sense, the 3 of Diamonds indicates reoccurring patterns or sporadic energies and actions. It can denote an event or behavior that is repeated at intervals, or describe an arrangement that is temporary in nature. As the outcome card, the 3 of Diamonds can show partial success, or a small victory that is won at great cost. "In love readings the 3 of Diamonds will often indicate a lack of commitment to the relationship. It can describe a lover who runs hot and cold, or someone who comes and goes in and out of your life. It can also describe a partner who will not or cannot put forth the required effort to sustain the relationship. With a Face card, the 3 of Diamonds describes a person who is fickle and changeable and unreliable. "[…] "I always divine the 3 of Diamonds with a wary eye. I know it will reveal a source of instability in the situation in question."
Sometimes I wonder if I've made Fyodor's family dynamic too dramatic, and then I remember that Dostoyevsky is the inspo and I feel completely justified.
Night At The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian OC Ref. Sheet
This is Tigerfrost (Also known as Frosty), this Blog's main OC! I originally made her for Demise 4 back in 2021 off of a backpack I'd bought a couple of years earlier from a cool collector's shop. She was put in OC retirement while I focused on a Minecraft SMP I was on until she was pulled back out for this blog around July-ish 2022. My original ref is here, which I'm currently still using, but I do plan to change it soon because my style is outdated on it and a lot has changed in c!Tigerfrost's story.
I've been really inspired by @/all-yn-oween's and @/lidensword's NATM2 OC's, so this is my NATM version of Frosty! They are an exhibit on Children's and Young Teen's media in the Smithsonian. The Cats are promotional cardboard cut-outs for the books that came to life through the power of the Tablet.
(favorite bits, and more about Applebreeze, Fawnpelt, Craneclaw, and Poppypool, and general about their world under the cut!)
Happy 124th birthday to Al Capone!
(Sorry I am a bit late today, and I'm sorry the drawing is in pencil again! I got really sick. I have a lot of photos that I took, though! I'm super excited to show you guys)
124 years ago on January 17, 1899, Alphonse Gabriel Capone was born in Brooklyn, New York. In his yearly years, he lived with his mom, dad, and siblings at 95 Navy Walk.
Godos Songs
List of songs that I feel fit Fyodor, Nikolai, or Godos well. I'll add to the list as I find new songs (meaning a reblogged version may not be complete). Links in parentheses are Godos videos that use the songs.
Please feel free to add songs!
