Yeah, Damian and Jason get along because they both agree killing people is sometimes necessary yadda yadda, but they also get along because they're both totally pretentious about art, Jason's pretentious about literature and Damian is pretentious about paintings, they're the only ones either of them is willing to go to a museum or library with, they have weekly discussions about niche topics only five people in their respective artistic fields actually cares about, Damian once insulted Jason by calling him no better than a Wattpad author and Jason insulted Damian by calling him an Andy Warhol knockoff. They didn't speak to each other for a month

Jason nocked the arrow and took aim again. Roy gave him another one of those scrutinizing looks.

“You’re still dropping your frame,” he said. “Here, I’ll show you. Stay right there.”

He circled around behind Jason. Jason jumped when he felt Roy’s hand on his hip.

“Easy, it’s just me,” Roy said, his voice low. “Drop your tailbone. Bring your left shoulder back.” Using his right hand to keep Jason’s hips where they were, he gently guided his shoulders into the proper alignment with his left. “There. Like that. Turn your head a little more.”

What I really love about [Jason] as a character is the unbridled sense of self that he has - there’s a lack of… maybe self-awareness, but for sure self-consciousness in terms of how he comports himself and how he moves through the world. He’s completely seemingly unaffected by darkness - he kind of embraces it or walks right through it. He’s a breath of fresh air and that’s what I love about him, he’s got a punk rock, no-holds-barred attitude that’s massively unburdened. There’s a lot of energy that comes with that.  … You get to watch Dick Grayson struggle when he sees another Robin and how that Robin is different and has a different relationship with ‘dad.’ And the second child gets away with stuff the first child would never get away with in a family, and ours is really a family show.
