Lancaster week 2022

From  September 17, 2022, through September 23, 2022.

The rules. Alright, I want to make sure that they are clear. This is a fan week is for Lancaster (Ruby Rose & Jaune Arc). Which takes place in September. If you have early submissions, you can submit them to the blog, and they will be in the queue until September. I will not be accepting any submissions that are not Lancaster. No ploy ship fics or art will be accepted. If they aren’t the main focus, I know it sounds odd? But trust me, I got a few direct submissions last year that were not Lancaster at all, and I have to be thorough and transparent.

 Any and all submissions are accepted as long as those Jaune and ruby are the main characters. That includes fanfiction, fanart, fan comics, podfics, and more. If it’s those two, I want to see what you can come up with. Finally, try to follow the days prompt; there is some wiggle room for the submission. This is about celebrating this ship! Having fun and really reminding ourselves why we like these two dorks together! Remember to use the tag #Lancasterweek and add in @lancasterweek so I can reblog your work. You know Tumblr, the website is held together with glue sticks and bubblegum. So try to spread this post and make sure that all the shipper finds out and want to join. Remember the latest submission allowed is until October 8th.

This year because of everything that happened to me personally and as well to hopefully get more submissions than last year? I made a prompt list with alternative prompts; if you don’t like the initial one, you don’t have to do both. It’s an alternative options if you don’t like them.

Day 1.   Distance/ College AU: with distance, it’s either emotional, physical, or anything, everything in between the two. College is exactly how it sounds and how you write or draw this up to you.

Day 2.   Illusions/ Crossover Au: when I say illusion, I mean whether it’s a mirage, a place where you see illusions of things that aren’t real. A crossover with your favorite fandom outside RWBY.

Day 3.   Memories/ Telepathy AU: whether it’s memories of better times or reflecting on the past bittersweetly. Or thinking back on the memories of the past and realizing you could have done better or been better. Telepathy AU is almost self-explanatory 1; of the characters, maybe Ruby, maybe Jaune, has telepathy, and now I have to deal with it.

Day 4.   Mystery/ Deserted Island AU: mystery, whether it’s something they need to solve at each other, or anything you can come up with, I’m not gonna try to box in your creative. With royalty AU again, go ham. The Sky is the limit; just make sure that it’s about Lancaster. Considering where volume 9 is taking place on a strange island slash dimension ?

Day 5.   Secrets/ Switched Au: whether secrets from one another or secrets from the world. Switched au is that everything is mostly the same except everyone, but Weiss is now a Faunus of some kind.

Day 6.   Strength/ Blind Date AU: whether in the strength of character, the strength of minder, strength of will or strength of heart, or physical strength, we want to be technical. Blind AU sounds as easy as it stated because it is someone sets one of the two dorks up on a blind date, hilarity can ensue, sweetness can ensue; it is up to you

Day 7.   Truth/ Body Swap AU: the truth about a big secret truth about themselves or just a truth that they feel is true about themselves. Sky’s the limit on what you wanna do. Body swap au is as obvious as it sounds; what you do with that is up to you!

Day 1. Jealousy - Showing Jealousy, being jealous, or having others being jealous of them together.

Day 2. Hobbies - Straight forward sharing hobbies, getting interested in each other hobbies or you make up some hobbies on this one the sky is the limit on what they would want to for hobbies.

Day 3. Eavesdropping- Hearing conversations about each other or something. How you take this up to you.

Day 4. Reassurance – They are two leaders both have doubts about themselves, maybe they need a pep talk from his best friend.

Day 5. Star Gazing- There are enough times where they are at night, where it's traveling under the stars, doing huntsmen work at night or just talking at night for you to have fun with it

Day 6. Flirting- Let you mind run wild on how to interpret this.

Day 7. Prom- We all know how Ruby feels about proms , dances and formals but maybe with Jaune it’ll be different?

You know, i’ve never been fond of fairytales, especially the Disney ones made popular,

Unfortunately what is termed a ‘fairy tale’ is oddly restrictive; I wanted to do a myth originally but the theme IS fairy tales, so I settled for something i’ve already done. After all, one of the common trends now a days to to give a dark twist to a normally happy story. So, in order to lure out the prize, they threw her into the sea. When she and the beast didn’t appear, they thought it a lost cause, and she was never found again.
