Lancaster Week Day 3: Text Chain

Ruby: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Blake: *opens the door* Ruby, what's wrong?

Ruby: I- I- I- *hyperventilates*

Blake: Woah, easy there. Tell me what happened.

Ruby: I... *shuts eyes* I texted 'I love you' to Jaune!!!

Blake: ... *slowly smiles* AHHHHH!!!!! *jumps up and down* Oh my god, I've been waiting for this for such a long time!!! You finally confessed to Jaune!!!

Ruby: Blake! This is serious! He's never gonna wanna talk to me ever again! *covers her face*

Blake: Come on, Ruby, I think you're overreacting a little.

Ruby: No I'm not!! Blake, you gotta help me delete that text from his scroll!! Use your semblance to sneak in JNPR's room and swipe the scroll, then I can delete the message!!!

Blake: Or maybe you could just go and talk to him.

Ruby: Hmmm... nope.

Blake: Ruby, come on. Stop being silly. *drags Ruby*

A knock on JNPR's dormroom followed as Blake tried to stop Ruby from escaping.

Jaune: Blake? What's up?

Blake: Ruby needed to talk to you.

Ruby: No I didn't!

Blake: Yes she did. *places Ruby in front of Jaune*

Ruby: Gah!! Um... Jaune, I-

Jaune: Is this about the 'I love you' text?

Ruby: *blushes* You... saw it?

Jaune: I did, *smiles* and knowing how you feel means that I don't feel nervous about asking you on a date.

Ruby: ...wait what?

Blake: *squee*

Jaune: Ruby Rose, will you go out with me?

Ruby: Um... I- um... *nervous smile* Yes.

Jaune: Great! I'll pick up tonight at 7.

Ruby: O-Okay.

Jaune: See you tonight. *smiles and closes the door*

Ruby and Blake turned to each other and squealed so loud that Ozpin could hear it from his office.

Ruby: I'm going out with Jaune!!! *jumps up and down*

Blake: You're going out with Jaune!!! *jumps up and down*

Lancaster week 2022

From  September 17, 2022, through September 23, 2022.

The rules. Alright, I want to make sure that they are clear. This is a fan week is for Lancaster (Ruby Rose & Jaune Arc). Which takes place in September. If you have early submissions, you can submit them to the blog, and they will be in the queue until September. I will not be accepting any submissions that are not Lancaster. No ploy ship fics or art will be accepted. If they aren’t the main focus, I know it sounds odd? But trust me, I got a few direct submissions last year that were not Lancaster at all, and I have to be thorough and transparent.

 Any and all submissions are accepted as long as those Jaune and ruby are the main characters. That includes fanfiction, fanart, fan comics, podfics, and more. If it’s those two, I want to see what you can come up with. Finally, try to follow the days prompt; there is some wiggle room for the submission. This is about celebrating this ship! Having fun and really reminding ourselves why we like these two dorks together! Remember to use the tag #Lancasterweek and add in @lancasterweek so I can reblog your work. You know Tumblr, the website is held together with glue sticks and bubblegum. So try to spread this post and make sure that all the shipper finds out and want to join. Remember the latest submission allowed is until October 8th.

This year because of everything that happened to me personally and as well to hopefully get more submissions than last year? I made a prompt list with alternative prompts; if you don’t like the initial one, you don’t have to do both. It’s an alternative options if you don’t like them.

Day 1.   Distance/ College AU: with distance, it’s either emotional, physical, or anything, everything in between the two. College is exactly how it sounds and how you write or draw this up to you.

Day 2.   Illusions/ Crossover Au: when I say illusion, I mean whether it’s a mirage, a place where you see illusions of things that aren’t real. A crossover with your favorite fandom outside RWBY.

Day 3.   Memories/ Telepathy AU: whether it’s memories of better times or reflecting on the past bittersweetly. Or thinking back on the memories of the past and realizing you could have done better or been better. Telepathy AU is almost self-explanatory 1; of the characters, maybe Ruby, maybe Jaune, has telepathy, and now I have to deal with it.

Day 4.   Mystery/ Deserted Island AU: mystery, whether it’s something they need to solve at each other, or anything you can come up with, I’m not gonna try to box in your creative. With royalty AU again, go ham. The Sky is the limit; just make sure that it’s about Lancaster. Considering where volume 9 is taking place on a strange island slash dimension ?

Day 5.   Secrets/ Switched Au: whether secrets from one another or secrets from the world. Switched au is that everything is mostly the same except everyone, but Weiss is now a Faunus of some kind.

Day 6.   Strength/ Blind Date AU: whether in the strength of character, the strength of minder, strength of will or strength of heart, or physical strength, we want to be technical. Blind AU sounds as easy as it stated because it is someone sets one of the two dorks up on a blind date, hilarity can ensue, sweetness can ensue; it is up to you

Day 7.   Truth/ Body Swap AU: the truth about a big secret truth about themselves or just a truth that they feel is true about themselves. Sky’s the limit on what you wanna do. Body swap au is as obvious as it sounds; what you do with that is up to you!

Lancaster Week Day 1: Fairytale

Once upon a time, in a little cottage deep in the woods, there was a young woman who wore a red hood. However this wasn't an ordinary girl no she was known by the nickname, Big Bad Wolf, although she wasn't really any of those things with the exception of that last bit. She was a happy little werewolf who enjoyed a peaceful life of hunting, playing with her puppy, and reading comics she would buy during the new moon. Although despite her happy little quiet life she did often get lonely.

One a young squire was walking in the enchanted woods. He was there to complete his final test to become a full fledged huntsman, defeat a monster. The blond haired youth went deeper and deeper into the woods looking for a beast to slay, but all he saw were passive creatures that held no harm or at worst tricksters that stole his coin purse before leaving it in the middle of the past after he freaked out. "I wonder how much longer I'll be in here," he sighed, he reached into his bag and pulled out a cookie and before he could take a bite he felt the gaze of a powerful beast lock onto him. He swiftly looked around and saw two silver eyes in the bushes before they jumped out and in front of him stood cloaked in a red cape a figure with sharp claws and blackish crimson fur around her forearms and lower legs. 'A werewolf,' he thought to himself.

"Leave the this place now," the werewolf said in a feminine voice that sounded fake gravelly. He saw drool drip from her mouth, "and leave behind the cookies."

'???,' all fear he had became confusion. His defensive stance became relaxed as he processed what was just said. "Uhhhh pardon?"

"I said," the beast's voice now entirely girlish, "oops I mean...*cough cough* leave these woods but leave the cookies" the 'scary' tone returning

"Ummm? What was that second part?" he said completely confused

The werewolf also stopped doing her 'battle pose' her hood dropped and puffed her cheeks in a pout, "I said leave the cookies dummy I'm hungry," her tone like a child having a tantrum.

"Uhhh well I need to stay here but, I can give you the cookies," he said reaching into his bag and grabbed the small bag of cookies and offered them to her.

The girl's ears and tail perked up and she rushed forward and began to sniff the bag to make sure she wasn't being tricked. She took the bag and smiled, "Yay thank you its been forever since I've had cookies."

Jaune looked at her and realized the intimidating werewolf was a foot shorter than him and except for the arm, legs, ears and tail she was a normal girl, a cute one at that. "Well I guess I'll be going," he made to walk past her.

"Hey wait why are you here anyway Mr Cookies," the werewolf asked putting s cookie in her mouth.

"I uhh am here to slay a dangerous monster so I can finally be a true huntsman," he said

She tilted her head in confusion as she continued to munch on her cookie. "But the evil monsters live on the otherside of the woods."

He looked at her and dropped his head, "oh come on."

"Well as thanks for the cookies I can take you there if you want," she said.

"Really!!!" he said happy, "thank you."

"No problem," she said, "I'm Ruby."

"I'm Jaune nice to meet you," he replied

Ruby guided Jaune through the woods into the Grimm Grottoes and along the way they became fast friends, Jaune promising he'd visit her and bring her cookies and comics. This was one of the greatest days of her life, cookies and new friends everything she could ask for.

(He is my quick and dirty entry for Lancaster week day one, turned out more fantasy in general with fairytale elements but I think it counts.)
