If you like time fuckery this is the one for you. This fic is B29's first foray into Taskhusbands and it is actually so devastatingly well constructed, written (the poetry?? the cadence??) and characterised that I had a minor meltdown for a couple days, like...damn, this is how I want to write when I grow up, yknow? (Strong rec for their ongoing fairytale fic as well, it's stunning and perfect for those who love to see contestants lovingly crafted into side characters who appear all over the place)

I love what a different exploration of d/s we see here, especially in how Alex's desires are drawn...it's super interesting and really pushes the 'damn that's fuckin hot' button - in my brain at least.

See there is good news and there is bad news. The bad news is I’m like positive they didn’t hook up in high school. The good news is that this is because Big Eden is a romantic comedy about the two of them falling in love, and a key part of the premise is that Pike (the big fella) has been in love with Henry (the little fella) since forever, but Henry never noticed because he was too obsessed with the actual guy he hooked up with during high school.
So I’m like....was there a moment? Did they almost hook up? Or was Henry just like, “wow, that big quiet guy on the football team is hot” and meanwhile poor Pike’s screaming the love confession from Persuasion in his brain?

tell me your opinions on the big three: labrador, golden retriever, standard poodle
labrador wayyy too much energy another dog thats meant to have a job to do and will go nuts if theyre just left to their own devices. also theyve been so overbred they have so many health issues... felt like almost every TPLO surgery at the vet clinic i worked at was for a lab.
golden retriever ok i love an old golden but young goldens are almost as crazy as labs and have even more health issues. lots of cancer :( i dont need my heart (or wallet) broken like that.
standard poodle i cannot have a dog that needs professional grooming like that shit is EXPENSIVE. theyre also way too smart. i like my dogs dumb. i just want a dumb little friend. i dont want to get a poodle and end up with a dog thats smarter than me i just cant handle that right now...... aaaand this is just nitpicking at this point but their eyes are so deep they get so fucking goopy ive seen such nasty poodle eyes in my day 🥶

7. How did you feel about The End?
I recently rewatched The End and I discovered that I am a The End apologist. Or rather, an I-Refuse-To-Apologist, because it’s a phenomenal send-off. Like: does the show wholly refuse to explain things? Does it explain things in deeply unsatisfying ways that make you go “That’s it?” Is that annoying? Yes, yes, and yes. But, counterpoint: I cannot stop crying and it reminds me why I love every single one of these characters, even the ones I don’t like that much.
13. Flashback, flash-forwards, or flash sideways?
The flash-forwards are an act of television genius. The slow revelation of who got off the Island, who didn’t, and what it’s done to their lives. The gradual convergence of the two stories. The “We have to go back!” of it all.
15. Favorite season?
I think it’s Season 3. The flash-forwards start. Ben Linus takes center stage. Desmond’s brain starts time-traveling. We meet Juliet and are embroiled in the world of Others Politics. Mr. Eko fearlessly justifies his existence to an eldritch monster. Charlie makes the ultimate sacrifice. Ben and Locke are like....so horny at each other. We get our first glimpses of Jacob, which were way more exciting than actually meeting Jacob. Everything seemed possible.
