2), Polyamory and shipping the characters with other people are also accepted, as long as the focus of the story is Jason and John and their relationship/interactions.
We finally have all the prompts for our very first JayJohn Event!

The event will run from the 28th of September, until the 1st of November! ("Keep Reading" for exact dates!)
Each Weekly Theme can be interpreted however you wish to, as long as the ~ vibes ~ fit it it'll be cool
The additional prompts under each week are there to give people ideas, they are not mandatory, but you can use them and interpret them however you wish!
Ah, but Gremlin, I want to use a prompt from week 1 on week 3, can I? Sure! As long as the story still fits Week 3's theme, you can use whatever Tropes you want, even if they are listed in another Week's list.
This event and its founder follow the unspoken rule of "ship and let ship", so we accept all works as long as they have the appropriate tags and warnings!
This event is also NOT exclusively about shipping! I will repeat: you can write WHATEVER you want, as long as it fits our 2 rules!

Like I said: these will be OPTIONAL. As long as you hit the Weekly Theme, everything else is just for inspiration. This was my way of finding balance between having too many prompts and not having enough prompts. 😂

Do I need to be on the Discord Server to participate in the event?
No. We would of course welcome everyone (who is 18+, we are an adult space), but if you create anything for the event you can just @ us or use the #SpookyMonthShenanigans2025 or #JJSpookyMonth2025, and we will keep an eye on the tags and reblog stuff!! Or you can add works to our collection on AO3.

First of all, like I said before, we are an adult space, so as long as you're over 18... Hit us up with a message or ask and we will pass you an invite link!
Is the event all about shipping? Can I do something platonic instead?
The event is about Jason and John interacting, it can be romantic, platonic, or familial. Whatever you want to do, as long as it is about them both.
Can I write them with other characters? Polyam? Threesome? Anything in between, etc?
Yes. Like I said. It doesn't need to be exclusively JayJohn shippy fics. BUT. Please respect that the event is about them so use your judgment to decide if there are enough Jason & John interactions on the work to count. But yeah, they can be in a polyam situation, one-off threesomes. Even be familial with each other and have a partner, as long as the focus of the work is mostly the Jason & John relationship.
