ALICE IN BORDERLAND S3: I’M NOT SAYING IT DIDN’T NEED TO HAPPEN, I’M SAYING THEY DID USAGI WRONG

Look, I’ll always be up for however many seasons of Alice in Borderland they decide to make. But Usagi trying to find her dead father (??) and ending up back in the Borderland - even though it wasn’t her intention, and she was manipulated (?????) - is NOT the way to kick things off. And yet… here we are.

So, for the sake of my sanity, I’ll just ignore the nonsense reasoning and focus on what matters: the games and my eternal Usagi/Arisu OTP.

HELLO PROFESSOR, SIR - TEACH ME SOMETHING, YOU MAY ALSO PUNISH ME IF YOU WISH LOL.

Like… after two seasons and a pretty tight closure, if you’re gonna milk this series with dumb plot excuses and new characters I cannot possibly care about, then I reserve the right to shamelessly objectify the hot professor.

And I’m just gonna say it: is the professor’s disability purely for plot purposes? Like, we’re meant to sympathize with him, but at the same time not fully ship him with Usagi (which is already 90% impossible because Arisu >>> everyone)… Jeez, Japan. Get it together.

Also, as a shipper myself, I kind of hated that the Prof/Usagi team-up actually won the games. Yes, I needed Usagi to win, but I never understood why she was so aligned with a man who literally dragged her back to the Borderland because of his afterlife/dead student obsession… Kaku Kento is SO HOT THO 😭 UGH🫠

Also the brother–sister subplot?? Had me in TEARS. Like 5 minutes of family issues and I was already crying on the floor 😭😭

All that said - I’ll still watch another season, even if the plot gets worse. It’s wearing thin, but Yamazaki Kento is our saving grace. Alice in Borderland S1–2 remain one of my favorite shows of ALL TIME, so I’m here until the bitter end.
