Hello again! I would love if you made a post of all the characters you ship Riddle with and why. Maybe some cute headcanons of them too or things that they would do. Maybe poly ships of him too.

have every ship i have with riddle, why i ship them, plus at least one cute thing that each ship does! but because i am a multishipping chud and riddle is shippable as hell, this list is LONG.

acerido (ace is such an asshole to riddle at first istfg but the way that riddle brags about ace in fairy gala is just so cute c'mon that's his court jester): ace makes filipino desserts for riddle and ridds fucken inhales them. also ace helps riddle with social cues because sevens know he needs that help

deucerid (deuce admires riddle so much, it's adorable. also scary dog privilege except they're both each other's scary dog and they're both actually huge softies): little study dates with snacks and music and deuce always walks away both hating academics a little less and feeling grateful for riddle even more

keirid (cater isn't riddle's favorite card soldier for nothing ayyy): they go to cafes together, order something of the other's taste so that caycay can get pictures, then riddle gets to enjoy his sweets and cater gets something savory/spicy

treyrid (EXPLICITLY QUEERPLATONIC. i genuinely cannot see them romantically. but anyway childhood friends to (platonic) lovers, c'mon, this one is obvious): ignoring the obvious sweets-gifting from trey and mutual acts of service, they (and che'nya) definitely have inside jokes. like they'll just glance at each other and start giggling and it confuses anyone around them so much

polybyul (the queen and his card soldiers! and yes treyrid is still queerplatonic here): cuddle piles in riddle's bed, but riddle is always in the middle because their ass is ALWAYS freezing. poor adeuce sandwiching ridds in get freezing little feet on their calves and it always scares the shit out of them

cherid (also childhood friends to lovers, but it's basically florid in a different font): che'nya will sneak in just to cuddle up to riddle. and ridds acts like he isn't there, it's the funniest thing ever. che'nya will only acknowledge trey talking to him (besides ridds obviously). also the aforementioned inside jokes

treycherid (poly childhood friends to lovers. i feel like this is a given. also shared trauma from ridds' mother :D trey and che'nya are probably plotting something. also yeah you guessed it treyrid are still queerplatonic): other than the aforementioned for the individual ships, trey and che'nya are the only people who can genuinely fully pull riddle away from their studies, so there's lots of just laying around with the three of them (aka trey and riddle laying down while che'nya is draped over them like a 5'10 house cat)

azurido (the one-sided academic rivalry is hilarious. also the entirety of b6 holy shit they are gay): they decompress in azul's bed after long days just laying down and listening to soft jazz

florid (me and the bad bitch i pulled by being annoying as all hell): floyd is riddle's deep pressure therapy eel. just squeezes or lays on top of riddle and he melts

jeirido (classmates to lovers??? also fun dynamic and riddle calls it like it is with jade, like in jade's ceremonial robes vignette): snicker to each other in class about dumb shit their classmates do/say. also complaining about pe together

octarido (all three of these idiots are a sucker for riddle c'mon): also cuddle piles, and also riddle in the center, except they're all grabbing onto ridds because they're clingy as hell

ridkali (they're honestly just really cute i can't even defend this one, uhhh something something they're both so sheltered yet so incredibly traumatized or whatever idk): kalim will just tell long stories about his siblings and/or minajael/jamil and riddle just loves listening to him talk (yapper x listener frfr)

appletart (epel admires riddle a good bit from what i gather, which is cute, but also city mouse boy x country mouse boy is so silly): they make apple desserts together. and guess what. they inhale them together. very romantic. also epel makes apple carvings for them, but i think that's a given in any epel ship

idirido (it's funny as hell. but also. b7. and a bunch of character growth from both of them): idia is teaching riddle to code trust also introduces riddle to a bunch of super story-heavy video games (that he mostly listens to play throughs and breakdowns of while studying, working, etc.) because riddle loves that shit

silrid (see this post): gazing longingly at each other in a disgustingly romantic way. they look like they're perpetually in a renaissance painting. they are sickeningly sweet everyone around them (especially the other sophomores) hates it

seberido (similar to silrid, but also, sebek admires riddle so fucking much and also they're both hopeless bookworms. also they're both mixed fae/human* but have opposing internalized racism which is really interesting): they have little book club-type meetings except it's just them yapping about their favorite romantasy novels. also sebek is the reason riddle discovered ao3 trust

*i headcanon riddle to be a quarter deer fae, but his mother instilled a very strong disdain for that side of him that he didn't come to accept until after his overblot, whereas sebek resents the human side of him for the bullying he experienced and his being a late bloomer regarding magic in comparison to his siblings and especially other faerie children.

I wanna hear your thoughts on Octotrio x Riddle if you don't mind?

we know that riddle is incredibly perceptive when it comes to the octatrio—a prime example is jade's ceremonial robes vignette. while trey fully believed in jade's façade, riddle called jade (who is notably amused) on his shit, and fully admitted that he's of wary of jade as he is of floyd. that is to say, riddle would definitely call the other three out if they're being particularly shady. the tweels actually find a bit of amusement in seeing how quickly riddle clocks them, while azul bemoans whatever he profits from whatever plan ridds has thwarted.

once they're actually together, floyd starts to get over making riddle angry to see them red—in favor of flustering riddle to see them red, of course. and that is something that jade and azul will get in on too (because they're not risking a magical beheading). red is a very pretty color, no? ;3{

riddle would eventually start studying/doing schoolwork in the mostro lounge—whether in the vip lounge as a reprieve from his own dormmates (he loves them, he really does, but sometimes he just needs a break where they won't find him and make him partake in their chaos) or in the front of house where he gets "discounted" food and drink (the discount comes from the drive-by kisses that jade and floyd give him. there is no keeping this relationship a secret). i think riddle really likes the environment of the mostro lounge because of the relatively cool, dim environment and jazzy music, but that's with or without a relationship with the fish mafia.

i feel like the cultural exchange that comes with this relationship is an interesting one. using real-world terms, the octatrio are italian, and riddle is mixed japanese and welsh (i'll die on the half-japanese riddle hill), and the fact that they're mer and he's human/fae, so there's just a lot of differences that would come to light as the relationship progresses. there's also the fact that the tweels and azul have known each other since elementary school and have been friends since middle school, so while they all know each other like the back of their hands, riddle is something new to learn and adjust to. it's a bit of a game to at least the tweels, though azul definitely finds intrigue in it too. they would love to hear about the folklore of riddle's homes, see the clothes, experience the culture. and the food. c'mon, there's definitely some japanese or british food coming onto the mostro lounge menu. (floyd pushes for a takoyaki appetizer. riddle obviously scolds him. riddle doesn't admit that he actually decently likes takoyaki.) i think there's also a disconnect between the natural pda given by mer as compared to riddle being raised in a rather conservative culture (even once they move to the queendom, riddle's mom definitely sticks hard to japanese culture, especially the conservative aspects), so he gets flustered fast. even something like a hand on his back to guide him through a crowd makes him blush, and it provides endless entertainment.

given that all three of the octatrio are huge (azul is muscular, the leeches are fucking beanpoles and probably decently muscular themselves), if any of them are having a rough day, they'll track riddle down and then just lay on top of them. ridds'll grumble if they were doing something, but having three clingy-ass weighted blankets for boyfriends means that riddle's anxiety-ridden ass is actually relaxing. seriously, especially if riddle is having a bad day too, just silently laying together and decompressing is a godsend. if multiple (or, sevens forbid, all three of them) are having a bad day, they will fight over who gets the best real estate on riddle. as in, they will physically fist fight. riddle just blankly watches the fight (they've learned not to intervene by now), and then once they're done actually throwing punches, they'll just tiredly ask, "are you done?"

also, azul and riddle's bad days (as in overblot after effects) lining up—probably because pf bad weather, that shit is miserable for chronic pain—and the tweels taking care of them. all four of them just hanging out in azul's room, azurido laying down while floyd and jade get things for them, helping them move if they need to, deterring rogue heartslabyul or octavinelle dorm members asking for their housewardens when someone else can handle it, massaging riddle's legs or azul's back, or just laying with them and gently soothing them. i like to think that the tweels are very sweet when they want to be. they usually just don't want to be–

also riddle. sweet, sweet riddle. helping the other three study. azul is, for the most part, fine on his own (riddle still doesn't know about the academic rivalry that azul has going with them, some say that they'll never know that they have a rivalry), and riddle is in class with jade, so can clarify in the moment, so it's usually just focusing on helping floyd. but, of course, some classes hinge on having prerequisite land knowledge, and they only teach you so much in the ultramarine city sea-to-land program, so riddle is quite happy to help them where they need it.

riddle's already met georgina (and i could make a whole post on his feelings about her), but meeting mr leech and azul's parents and nonna would make something really obvious: azul, jade, and floyd will never meet his mother. their families are so sweet, not just to riddle but also amongst themselves, that it leaves him reeling. at least in meeting georgina, jade and some other peers were there and kind of gave him unintentional cues on how to interact with non-authority adults (oxymoron of the century) that aren't huge assholes (then again, i dunno if rook and malleus are the guys to go to for social cues lolol), but meeting the rest of the family is just him, his partners, and them, so he's kind of lost. it's so painfully obvious to the adults too that this little human is just so unsure around them. jade knew to expect this, and had told the other two about it, but floyd and azul watching in real time as riddle tries to figure out how to interact with adults that aren't out to get him is honestly heartbreaking. but riddle knows—he knew when he met georgina, he knows as he meets the other adults that raised his partners—that they would never have to do the opposite. they would never have to try to feel out how to interact with dr rosehearts, never have to learn how to walk on eggshells just so so that she doesn't snap at them for some nonexistent affront to her control. and he tells them so. they're never meeting his mom. and they get it. (doesn't stop jade and floyd from contemplating asking their dad for a favor, iykwim.)

but the future. oh ho ho, the future. the wedding is fucking gorgeous—georgina only wants the best for her boys—but also, the forever float ceremony goes one of two ways. 1) azurido in the boat, the tweels obviously flip it very very romantical style. 2) all four of them in the boat, the tweels' parents flip the boat. either way, it's chaotic as hell and also the cutest thing ever. (also trey and che'nya walk riddle down the aisle! but this is for literally any relationship that riddle is in that doesn't involve those two. anyway this isn't about them–)

Who do think fell first and who do you think fell harder? But I feel like in every universe it'll take Riddle a while to realize and accept his feelings, especially if he's crushing on THREE of the most evil bastards in the school

out of the four of them, i think azul fell first. jade and floyd kinda fell for both azul and riddle around the same time, despite their preexisting friendship with azul. and of course, riddle fell last.

azul also falls hardest though.

the tweels realize their feelings with grace. azul trips and falls face-first. specifically towards riddle (that shit is not just an academic rivalry, gayass...).

though, the feelings for azul definitely knock riddle on his ass during b6 when he realized how scared he was to lose azul. his feelings for floyd and jade kind of just pop up with the feelings for azul, but it's not knocked-on-his-ass type of popping up, more so "oh sevens, that's what i've been feeling for them?!" type.

i think b6 is the general time when all of them fully come to terms with their feelings though. which is... unfortunate for jade and floyd, given that it's only after their crushes are kidnapped and trafficked that they realize how down bad they are. there's a lot of messy emotions in the reunion and then a lot of very awkwardly avoiding those emotions, because come on, these are nrc students we're talking about, they don't know a thing about facing their emotions head-on or dealing with them healthily.

To be honest, I've got a lot of unfinished fics, drabbles, ideas, you name it. All of them share one common factor: Riddle Rosehearts. Thus, I hereby subject you to a drabble (if you can even call it that) which will probably never touch my AO3 page unless I can somehow think of a way to avoid writing smut. Bare in mind that I've not actually grammar checked this so yea...

TWST Guide/Esper/Hunterverse

Night Raven is a globally recognized guild with its headquarters located on Sage’s Island. The island is shared by none other than Royal Sword, an equally reputable guild who’s main HQ are on the other side of Sage’s Island, opposing Night Raven’s HQ. In terms of renown in the dungeon hunting scene, these two guilds are at the top of the rankings and recognized as the “Big 2.”

Night Raven is responsible for managing a total of seven main raid teams put together to conquer dungeons and reap the rewards, much like Royal Sword. However despite being the two most powerful guilds in the world, their rivalry is to be considered as it’s a common occurrence during joint raids for Royal Sword to come out as the high yielding side. The reason behind this is most likely due to the fact that a joint raid requires the participation of more than one raid team from both guilds. This will more often than not result in infighting which significantly decreases the likelihood of reaping much loot from the targeted dungeon. In light of the dangers involved with joint dungeon raids, Night Raven has recently implemented the “option” to bring along bonded guides to ease the competitive nature of the espers. Although this decision has been faced with some initial backlash, it still stands due to its effectiveness in the field and the fact that it’s merely an option, not an enforced decision. Though knowing the guild master, many have their own opinions regarding exactly how optional this policy may be.

Under usual circumstances, the raid teams of Night Raven do make an effort not to interfere with one another’s affairs as they stick to their respective assignments in their designated areas. 

The seven raid teams of Night Raven are led by extremely capable leaders trained by the National Academy which is also located in Sage’s Island. As you can probably guess, many Academy hopefuls set their sights high given the close proximity of such renowned guilds. 

Heartslabyul’s designated assignments are usually located in the region of the Queendom of Roses with the exception of the occasional outlying assignment requiring the collaboration of a specific team member from another raid squad. Other exceptions include joint guild raids or the rare assignment that requires the collaborative effort of two team leaders; often the pairing of a guide and esper.

~Characters~

Riddle Rosehearts: An S class guide, was forced to awaken at a much younger age compared to his peers in order to hone his abilities efficiently to a degree of mastery. 

Jade Leech: An A class esper, yet one of the few people capable of handling Floyd Leech during his 'moods' without risking injury to himself. 

Floyd Leech: An S class esper on a weaker side of the spectrum in comparison to the few others S classes attending The National Academy for Espers and Guides. This also extends to his current position as an esper of Octavinelle at Night Raven.

Azul Ashengrotto: A reawakened mutant with the capabilities of both a C rank esper, and an A class guide with the potential of advancing his rank given more experience in his field. 

Tbh, I had no idea as to where I was going with this one. Like the main premise was going to be ship centered but like it was a question of who Riddle would be paired with... At first I was like let's just stick with the classic FloRId, but then AzuRido got tangled up in my brain and so did JeiRido (which I'm not even sure why people say it like that but to each their own ig-). THEN I got the grand old idea of turning it into a throuple...

but then it came down to which twin would be the 4th wheel.

Hmmmm, Riddle is so very shippable... I'm not complaining though so have fun with this mess of an alternative universe I've come up with!
