So awesome meeting up with @kearyrosen (who made this 3-D print version of #bernini Apollo & Daphne) at the @rutgersu @ruformdesignstudio Keary was one of my sculpture professors when I was at RVCC. 2 things I always remember about Keary; his awesome robot sculptures (mostly the Abe Lincoln spinning head robot and the pillow fighting robots) and that time he allowed @chris.alferman & I to build site specific sculpture installations in the abandoned quarry I used to play in as a child...and as a young adult. It was a fun time bringing the class on a field trip that required them to walk through a graveyard, down about a mile of railroad tracks and then to the site, just after dusk. Some of my classmates that were not used to such adventures were quite nervous about it, but by the end of it I think most of them appreciated it. I also have a funny memory of hauling our installation materials in a wagon down the railroad tracks. I look forward to working with him again! #art #goodtimes #whereitbegan #3dprinting #artistsoninstagram #jennyleemaas #jlmaas #sculpture #artists #makestuff
