so interesting how boy Jerry… could have just left girl Jeri in the dirt to handle the pregnancy all on her own, and yet he has stuck with her for over 20 years handling their murder baby and being faithful to her and true to their ideals. I think it also explains the power dynamics between them where girl Jeri expresses a wish to get the police involved, but he absolutely won’t let her and threatens her out of doing it. at this point in time he’s sacrificed most of his life to his decision of standing with her when he could have abandoned her, and he simply cannot stand the idea she would just go back on their choice when he never did.
