Decided to start off my 2018 by taking a few minutes to set some goals for the New Year! The upcoming year is going to bring a lot of changes for me, and I’m so ready to face them head on. Four year college, moving out, using my 2-year tech degree to find a decent job, attempting to start pursing acting again- It’s going to be a good one guys. I’m ready for some changes, that’s for sure.
So! Despite these big life things that are all somewhat out of my control, I want to set some little goals that I can work on for myself!
- Run a 10 minute mile! My personal best is 13:39, and I want to keep working on it!
- Stay on a plant based diet! Because 2017 saw me slip repeatedly back and forth between vegan and vegetarian, until ultimately I was back on the vegetarian wagon. But no more of that! We’re going 100% plant based. I feel like the only time I was consistently losing weight was when I was consistently on a plant based diet, so I’m going to try harder to get my eating right this year.
- Journey to Onederland. The illusive, the always just out of my reach place where I hit my goal weight of 199. I weighed in this morning at 246. So that would mean a 47lb weight loss this year. Which is completely obtainable I think, if I really work on it. I’ve been wayyy too lazy with it all these last 6 months.
- Read more books! This was a goal I had for 2017 as well, and I only managed to read three and a half. It was better than zero, but I really want to aim to read more!
- Study harder for the Comp Tia + Tests! Goal for this year is to get at least an A+ Certification and a Network + Certification. Getting the certs will make me more employable, and I need to have a better job once I’m out on my own.
