Hi!!! I also forgot to do this request omg, so sorry, Ive been busy doing art thing lol. ALSO forewarning, I'd heavily recommend reading my Jay headcanons, as they add a lot of context for these. Admittedly, I did not have that many headcanon for Jessica, so I wrote most of these today.
Jessica Locke Headcanons -
TW: Abuse, Implied Stalking, Alcohol, Homophobia
Jessica is a nonbinary polyamorous lesbian and goes by she/they.
Jay has always had her in his phone as “The Evil Twin”.
Despite being pretty small, she actually really enjoys wrestling people and playfighting, especially as a kid with Jay. Jess had to stop doing it when they were younger though because there was one time Jay went to school with bruises and CPS got called. The situation got cleared but their parents yelled at them for hours. Considering that CPS could've ACTUALLY taken them away for the actual abuse and didn't really stuck with them. That also started a pattern of Jess and Jay being conditioned to cover for their parents’ actual abuse to avoid CPS getting called again.
Her favorite smell is old books because of how much she hangs around the library.
Jessica was a big Warrior Cats fan as a kid, and would pretend to be a cat a lot.
She loves the rain, and will go play in the rain a lot. As a kid, Jodi and Jay both hated rain so they’d just awkwardly watch from the porch.
Jess actually still wrestled with Sarah and Masky before the group split off. She didn’t know Masky wasn’t Tim, and Tim did not remember when she brought it up later and was mortified, thinking he beat up Jess. Sarah was able to pin Jess quite a couple times though, which flustered Jess really badly every time and she had to stop fighting with her.
Her and Masky got along really well before the group split up, even though Jess never knew Masky wasn’t Tim. They just stuck towards her a lot of the time, and would laugh at her jokes a lot.
Her favorite food is risotto.
Masky actually visited her a lot when she was at the hotel, a lot more than Jay surprisingly. Mostly because they were worried about how she'd gotten into the mess, and was trying to check her symptoms.
She ended up finding and taking in Rocky after Amy and Alex disappeared. She was never much of a dog person but he’s one of the only thing she has left of Amy so she keeps him.
Tim remembers her and Jay as being siblings more than Jay does, since Jay was the one to introduce Tim to Jess.
Her and Alex actually were much closer than she remembered, with them having a sibling dynamic, and since they were metamours (both dating Amy), and since he and her brother used to be roommates. They lovingly bullied each other A LOT.
Jessica's love language is gift giving.
Jessica's trauma response is fight.
Jess writes in all capitals typically, but only texts in lowercase. She also physically can't write without using a mechanical pencil and carries one with her most of the time.
Jess would rather die than get rid of any of her decorations or clothes. She'd prefer to just recycle them or use them for future projects. Amy jokingly calls her a hoarder.
She has reading glasses she wears from time to time. Sarah and Amy often say she looks like a hot librarian.
Her favorite candy is jelly beans.
Jess and Jodi's relationship was always strained due to how Jodi never stood up for her and Jay. Jessica sometimes felt like she was the older sister more than Jodi was.
Jess has depression, anxiety, insomnia, amnesia, and AuDHD.
She's a big Supernatural fan, and even has a poster signed by Jensen Ackles himself that she got from a convention she went to. Charlie was her favorite character.
Her major in college was criminology.
Jess actually crochets a lot and makes little mittens and hats for her friends. She stopped for a bit once Amy disappeared. One of the main things that helped her realize that she was actually recovering after everything died down was that she started crocheting some stuff for herself and her friends.
Her favorite animal is a red panda.
Jessica has bad insomnia and paranoia that makes it very difficult to get sleep at night, and Amy is always the one to come over to check on her and help her get some rest. At one point, Amy got Jess a stuffed animal to help her calm down enough to sleep. It was a purple bunny plushie, and Jess still has it to this day.
She’s amazing at chess and was in the Chess Club in highschool.
Her favorite color is mauve.
Her favorite musical is Ride the Cyclone.
Her favorite song is Animals by Maroon 5. She also listens to OneRepublic, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, and Kelly Clarkson.
She collected rocks a lot as a kid, usually quartz and skipping stones.
She always was the one to protect Jay as a kid, and while she never got into fights, she got pretty close to it. Him protecting her from Alex in the far future was the first time he’d stepped up to protect her, even though neither of them realized the significance of that.
Jay actually was the one to introduce her to Amy.
She used to always hate going to the doctor, and had anxiety towards hospitals and doctors, until she met Taylor.
She gets flustered very easily around women. She’s a lot more confident and assertive around men, but the moment she’s around a pretty girl, she’s stuttering and avoiding eye contact.
She paints her nails a shiny black a lot, mostly because that was the color Amy always picked out for her, saying it reminded her of obsidian, which for some reason she associated with Jessica a lot.
Her style tends to lean hipster/”indie sleeze”. She rarely wore makeup besides smudged eyeliner or nail polish.
Her favorite gem is amethyst.
Taylor tends to give Jessica massages due to how tense she is all the time.
Jessica has curly hair that she hates having to maintain. Amy had to force her to sit down so she could brush it.
Her favorite shows are Criminal Minds and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
She loved mystery books as a kid, especially Nancy Drew.
She really wanted to do sports as a kid, but their parents either never remembered or wanted to pay the fees for her to join. The ones she always particularly wanted to do were wrestling or track and field.
Like her sister Jodi, she’s highly intelligent, but did not do well in school as child. Her grades spiked during highschool though.
She hates driving so much, it stresses her out so bad.
Her favorite soda is Coke Zero. She actually prefers things with little to no sugar overall.
She is actually medicated! Unlike Jay, she went to therapy after graduating and has been taking ADHD meds, anxiety meds, and melatonin every day. One of her first signs that something really bad was affecting her health was that even her melatonin wasn’t helping her sleep get better.
She hates the taste of alcohol to the point where she feels physically sick. The first party Amy took her to, she tried a shot and almost immediately had to spit it out.
Her special interests are true crime, criminology, and psychology. It freaked her parents out a lot as a kid.
She has a great poker face, and doesn’t laugh easily.
She never really came out as nonbinary, but deep down knew their identity wasn’t quite cis but she didn’t really have the right words for it. It actually took meeting Seth for her look into other identities. Even then though, when she found herself out, she mostly kept it to herself, but with a bit of pride that she understood herself a bit better.
She actually does bind from time to time, but she never really told anyone she was doing it.
She keeps everything Amy ever gave her. Small gifts, notes she passed her in class, the clothes Amy let her borrow, hair ties she tied their hair with, pencils she lent her. Anything to help her still remember her, all in fear that if she didn’t, she’d forget her like everything else that'd been lost from her memory. Of all the things, she never wants to forget Amy.
She’s only had three official girlfriends in her life. A girl from highschool named Nica, Amy, and Taylor. Her and Nica broke up when Nica’s parents found out they were together and outed Jessica to her parents, insisting that Jessica was “tainting” their daughter. She gets very scared by new relationships since then, both because the idea of someone finding out something so personal about her, and being told that she was “corrupting” those around her.
She came out as a lesbian to Jodi before anybody, even before Jay. Jodi comforted her as she cried, telling her she understood and that she wasn’t alone.
She was taller than Jay for most of her childhood, until he suddenly got a growth spurt in highschool, outgrowing both her AND Jodi.
They love hidden object games, particularly Criminal Case.
She’s the shortest of the Marble Hornets cast.
She and Seth actually got along really well and met through Alex. He was always able to get her to laugh.
She’s always been a cat person.
She once brought up the idea of cutting her hair to get a pixie cut, and Amy begged her not to because she LOVES doing Jessica’s hair. It’s safe to say Jess was convinced.
She never dated Sarah, but did find her very attractive.
