Deal Breakers

There are some obvious things that are automatic deal breakers to me:

Dishonesty or misrepresentation of any kind

Getting the impression I’m being taken for a ride or played for a sap. (I can’t believe the number of times I’ve seen people give me a “What a dumb shit! He’s falling for it!” look before a deal is completed)

Inequality at any point (eg, examines what I’m offering under a microscope but expects me to “take their word for it” that they’re offering me quality stuff)

Getting all pissy and offended when I don’t “take their word for it”

“Fast shuffles” - When one party gets caught in a lie or misrepresentation, makes on-the-spot excuses and tries to cover their fraud, usually quite ineptly

An example I fell for online many years ago (and usually just ignore now) is the link that offers something great, like a $100 store gift card, and you click on the image and it take you to a page with another link, and then another, etc, etc. Usually there are a lot of prompts to download this or sign up for that or whatever. I just pass the “something for nothing” offers now. And if the prompt is for something that might be legitimate but the first prompt takes me to another prompt, I just skip it.
