Premise: Note to self: avoid j-hope at all costs. Especially after his...spicy...dream last night.
It wasn’t your fault that you were so exhausted. It was your soulmate’s.
The man has the wildest dreams, and they’re enough to keep your heart rate up all night. Usually it’s dreams about running for his life from zombies, dancing his heart out, or dancing while running away from zombies.
You’re used to that, though. While you’re a little bitter about it, you’re used to waking up in a cold sweat while silently cursing your soulmate. Can’t the man just have one pleasant dream?
However, as you sit in a meeting trying your best to pay attention to what Sejin is saying, you can’t help that your eyes keep drifting shut. There’s two reasons for that.
1. j-hope, who’s sitting across from you, is your soulmate. You’ve known this for years, but you’ve never had the guts to approach him and see if he can piece together that you’re his soulmate. He had another night of active dreams last night, which left you with little rest.
2. He dreamt about you.
When you woke up in the morning, you were shocked. Hoseok, who you’ve hardly ever spoken to due to your shy nature, dreamt about you. And it was...quite the dream.
It felt all too real for your liking. As your eyes drift shut again, you can almost feel Hoseok’s lips as they ghosted over your own in his dreamland. The practice room was empty, and it was just the two of you left for the evening-
Was he fantasizing about you before he went to bed last night?
Your knee hits the underside of the table as you try to throw the thought away. Cheeks burning, you do your best to look everywhere but at the man sitting across from you.
“You alright?” Adora asks from beside you. Your dear friend and confidant, Adora is the only person that you’ve told about your strange predicament. Her lips are sealed, thankfully.
Of course, you threatened her with her life if she ever so much as dropped a hint to Hoseok about you being his soulmate.
“Fine.” You wince, nodding at Sejin to continue. “Sorry.”
As soon as the meeting ends you’re up and scurrying out of the room. Rushing to the bathroom, you throw water on your face in an attempt to wake up.
Adora enters the bathroom, already chuckling. “What did he dream about this time?”
“You don’t even wanna know,” you gasp as the cool water makes you squint.
“Really?” Adora whistles. “That bad, huh? Was it zombies again?”
You shake your head. “No! It was-” you pause, lowering your voice. “It was me!”
Now Adora looks completely invested, leaning closer. “Shut up. He dreamt about you? What did he dream?” As your cheeks heat up at the memory, Adora cackles. “No way! You’ve got to tell him now!”
You swat the idea out of the air. “Of course I’m not going to tell him! How would that conversation go? ‘Hey, I share dreams with you and I thought that now that you’ve had a steamy dream about me it’s time for us to get together.’ That’s ridiculous!”
Adora shakes her head. “You don’t have to say it like that, you loser. But he probably feels guilty, having those kinds of dreams about you when he thinks that his soulmate is out there somewhere. You should just find a way to tell him.”

You do your best to come up with ideas all day, but nothing is forthcoming. Finally you drag yourself out of your office, doing your best to avoid everyone on your way out of the building.
You’ve just made it onto the elevator when a hand catches the doors, and Hoseok slips inside.
When he sees you, he does a double take.
“Oh! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to just take the elevator-”
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it, really-”
“You're so pretty.”
Your mouth snaps shut, and there’s a strangled noise that comes out of your throat. Hoseok’s eyes are wide as he turns to face the front.
“Er...thank you.” You manage to get out.
You’re busy admiring the impressive shade of red that Hoseok’s cheeks have turned that you hardly notice that the doors have opened. Hoseok has, though. He launches himself out of elevator, calling out a goodbye before he’s taking off out of the doors.
That night, you lay in bed giving yourself a mental pep talk. If you can just convince your brain to not dream anything tonight, maybe everything will return to normal tomorrow.

When morning rolls around, you wake up feeling refreshed.
It was the first time in a long time that Hoseok didn’t dream anything.
There’s a skip in your step as you enter the Bighit building the next morning, however you can’t make it to your office before someone is pulling you into a room.
“Hey!” You shout, but your words die out as you see a very exhausted Hoseok staring down at you. “H-Hoseok?”
The man in question chuckles lowly, the sound making you nervous even as you bask in being so close to your soulmate.
“Good morning,” he drawls, and you take in the dark circles under his eyes. “Did you sleep well last night?”
You tense up, but decide to play it cool. “I did, actually. Did you?”
Hoseok shakes his head slowly, looking like he might collapse at any moment. “No. I can’t say I did.”
“W-why’s that-”
“You!” He grinds out, staring you down. “It’s you!”
“What are you talking about?”
“Don’t try to play coy with me,” Hobi hisses. “You dreamt all night about us in the freaking elevator-”
You gasp. “I did not! I don’t even remember what I dreamt last night! And besides, you dream about zombies all the time! So I feel like I can dream about an elevator if I want to, at least that’s boring!”
Freezing, you throw your hand over your mouth. Hoseok straightens up, smiling in triumph.
“I knew it.”
You shake your head, trying to wake up from this nightmare. “I...what-”
“You’re right, you didn’t dream about the elevator,” he sighs. “You dreamt about work. Working at your desk. All night. Very boring. But I knew I recognized that office from somewhere...” Hoseok turns his gaze back to you. “How long have you known?”
There’s no way this is happening right now. “I...a while.”
He chuckles, finally releasing his grip. “That’s ok. I’ve been falling for you for a while.”
Cue your choking fit. “Y-you, what?!”
Laughing, Hoseok walks out of the room, leaving you with your mouth hanging wide open.
“JUNG HOSEOK YOU LITTLE-” Bursting out of the room you come face to face with the entire management staff, who all turn to look at you. “Oh.”
The echo of Hoseok’s laugh down the hallway has you turning on your heel, excusing yourself while you go chase down your soulmate.
