I wish there were fics about Jin Ling navigating the Jin Sect. Yeah I get the whole "junior quartet" friendship appeal but what about his Sect? The entire Koi Tower was under Jin Guangyao's thumb before his death. His followers must be scrambling for power now. It is a nest of vipers. It would make for a good psychological thriller sort of fic.

Modern Jin Sect cultivators update their uniform. They roll out qiankun cross-body bags. Reportedly, it's trendy and practical, but they look ridiculous and it's just very silly to have to unzip a glorified fanny pack every time you need something.

Wei Wuxian calls them the "Lulu Lemon Losers" one time, and Jin Zixun has a well-publicized crash out about it on Weibo.

Jiang Cheng responds by Photoshoping candid shots of Jin Zixun to make him look like he's a professional dog trainer.

In a shocking twist, Lan Wangji posts a picture of a Stanley cup with all of those ridiculous attachments with the caption "the next Jin Sect qiankun vessel. Perfect for showing up late to Municipality Night Hunts or to Cloud Recesses after curfew."

Jin Zixuan likes the post on his main account instead of his alt by accident.

The situation devolves from there. Everyone is making memes of increasingly absurd qiankun objects, including but not limited to: a soy sauce bottle, an empty milk tea cup, and a catfish with its mouth open.
