・❥・ - The cold breezy midnight air filled your lungs, the car ride full of silence as your mother stared out the window and your father focused on the road, they had just finished a heated argument so they thought it was best to drop you off at the Parker residency.
You watched as you could see your mother's tears streaming down her face, it wasn't just an argument it was about to be the end of a long marriage. Despite her going through every beating from your father, you felt bad for her, knowing she hated you because you ' ruined her life '.
She told you if it wasn't for you being born then she and your father would be happy, it started when you were 7 and you broke her oh so precious vase. She cherished it like it was the Mona Lisa, and when you came to her to tell her you broke it she hit you, grounded you, starved you.
Your father was on a business trip but came home to see you on the floor cold, shivering, lips turning blue. It was the very first time your parents fought, after that your mother made the consequences even more difficult after the next.
We were in the forest, the car began to slow down and your father chanted a spell that revealed the house. You grabbed your bag and your jelly cat and walked towards the bright white house.
The wind sent shivers everywhere on your body, your body felt like it was slowly freezing, as you walked towards the steps a crow perched itself on the railings.
It creeped you out but you brushed it off knocking on the door. You waited sitting out in the cold, the bag on your shoulder with your arms crossed with your plushie in between.
The air slipped up your sleeves, 2 minutes had passed and you rung the doorbell. You looked up as you heard footsteps coming towards the door, the torture of being in the cold would finally end.
The door creaked open, showing the parker you weren't expecting.. Malachai parker. His hair rough and messy, a piece sweeping over his forehead like a vine.
' No I do not want girl scout cook- Oh its you.. What do you want ?' He said while rubbing his eyes, oh god..
For a while you have had the slightest crush on Kai, ever since the beginning of yours and Josette's friendship, the day she invited you to her house. He never noticed you or even knew you existed, to him you were just another one of Josette's whiny little friends.
' Listen.. if you are just going to stand here and stare at me then you might as well come inside.. '
' That is so not what I am here for. '
' Oh really? you wrung the door bell 5 minutes ago and stared at me till now. ' he said looking at his invisible watch .
' Whatever I am here to have a sleep over with Jo. '
' Right.. just up the stairs to the left.. '
' I know where her room is Malachai . '
You walked in the door looking around, one dim light coming from the laundry room and the porch light, Kai grabbed your wrist and pinned you to the door frame full of anger as if you took away the thing he loved most.
' Do not ever call me that, and if you do it again I will not hesitate to - ' Kai realized how close you were and backed up releasing your wrists from his tight grasp and face flushed with pink.
He turned away from you before saying goodnight and that was the first interaction you have ever had with him, your stomach immediately erupted in butterflies.
Your face burning up as you walked up the stairs in complete darkness, Josette's room was the only one with light coming from under the door. As you opened the door she jumped a bit and hugged you.
' Finally !! I was thinking that you weren't coming !! '
' I would NEVER bail on you and you know that '
You put your finger on her chest and laid your stuff down onto the floor. You had no idea you were still blushing from what had just happened, your face was completely red.
' Why is your face super red ?? Is it because my brother actually manned up and had the courage to talk to you !! '
Jo had a huge grin plastered on her face as if she painted the most gorgeous and expensive painting the the world, she was ecstatic to say that. You tilted your head in confusion knowing damn well what she had meant.
' Kai likes you and has been for the longest time now, I seriously did not know how you did not catch on. He was loud about it, unless everyone is just super silent.. '
Your eyes widened as she continued to ramble on about how Kai was been practically obsessed with you to the point he forgot about the merge and how angry he was that him and Jo couldn’t.
‘ Wait.. wait.. Like the Malachai Parker likes me back ?? ‘
‘ Yes he has liked you for 3 years now.. ‘
The conversation slowly drifted away while your mind stayed on the fact he liked you. You wondered if Josette knew you liked him back ; your mind always wandered thinking about what would happen if you guys actually did date.
‘ I hate my covennn it is like I do not want to keep going to stupid little magic conventions. ‘
‘ I mean why do you even have to go its not like you and Kai are merging ??’
‘ My father insists because we apparently are reckless with our magic like I am 22 and still living here and my magic IS under control. ‘
‘ Remind me again why you still live here .. ‘
‘ Because of med school.. And before you say dorms I am not trying to share a dorm with a stinky wannabe or a jock ..‘
She scoffed looking down, she just wanted to live a normal life away from all of this supernatural stuff. Not wanting to live in fear if she accidentally did something wrong with her magic.

✧.* - It was blistering cold, the night breeze kissing your skin shivering at every touch. Your throat was dry and on the verge of closing up.
You got up.. a little too fast causing a headache to soar through out your head, your hair a mess but still looked a bit cute. Sliding down, your tank’s strap fell down your shoulder but you instead just left it there.
The house was silent, a little too silent.. You could hear your heart pound in your chest, the heavy breaths you took within each step, the ringing in your ear getting louder and louder.
Every step you took was a semi loud creaking noise, as much as you tried to avoid the loud steps you could not. It is like the universe wanted to make you wake the whole family up.
Atleast they are not vampires, if this was Damon’s house he would have been at your neck already. The lights were off creating a dark romantic type of scene, you felt a person watching over you as you made your way to the kitchen.
The slow steps you took did not make you feel any better about the situation, you felt like the darkness was ready to consume you at any giving moment.
Every turn you took to look behind you nothing was there but random shuffles or just pitch black darkness. You opened the fridge and it emitted a bright light that burned your eyes.
Squinting you grabbed a cold water while rubbing your sore eyes, the thick tension in the air was unbearable.
You felt uncomfortable yet there was no candles to light and you did not want to turn on the light.
While you cracked the water bottle open you could feel holes in your skin piercing you through the seven layers of thick flesh.
‘ Hello? ‘
No one answered. That made it 100% more creepier than what the situation already was, everyone rested upstairs while Kai slept in the laundry room but you were sure everyone was sleeping.
You continued to drink your water, shifting your eyes to anything that felt off, the dryness in your throat cured and was back to its moist self.
Turning back to the fridge you closed it holding the handle like it was a knife, you wanted to rip it off and swing at the cool air because of something that was never really there.
As you turned to leave you saw a person standing before you, shadows casted over their face so you could not make out who they were or what their intentions were.
If you ran they would harm you more, if you stayed, you would have no idea what they had prepared for you. The moonlight shown only on your face the light hit their chest but could not hit their face.
You looked down to see a faded tee which definitely meant it was Kai but why would he be here with you at this hour.
The shirt looked like it could not fit him exposing his toned abs and muscular arms underneath.
You heard a click and a light hit both of your faces, the flashlight covered a vast amount of the kitchen but mainly focused on you guys.
‘ Oh hello you weird stalker. ‘
‘ The stalker you have a crush on. ‘
He cocked while point at himself, he chuckled to him self before walking away to turn on the kitchen light, the lights felt like the sun in your eyes.
' Why are you here Kai .. '
' Because I thought it was an intruder but when I saw you I just wanted to annoy you. '
' Annoy me why ? So you can cross off your bingo card? " Successfully annoyed Y/n today " . '
You began to walk away with the freezing cold water in your hand going back into the darkness. Malachai grabbed your hand and pinned you to the counter.
' I know you want me, and guess what I want you too so stop acting like you don't. '
Kai held you close with a tight grip on your wrist signaling that he does not want to let you go. You let your eyes wander across his handsome faces, counting the freckles, and his perfectly pink lips.
In a spilt second you smashed your lips onto his without thinking, you were both hungry and not just for food but for each other.
Malachai began to walk back into his room shutting off the kitchen lights, crashing into walls. He shut the door softly without removing himself from you, Kai turned on the lights and started to take off your shirt.
He threw your laced Cami onto the floor and tugged on your pants while twirling the draw strings just to pull you in closer than you guys already were, you felt his heartbeat pound against yours.
Your plaid pants fell to the floor exposing your dark blue set you use for ' emergencies '. Malachai's eyes lingered all over your body, hands running through your body.
Kai removed his shirt throwing it behind him, he also did the same with his pants. He sat down on his bed, back onto the wall, you sat in his lap before your lips reunited once more .
Turning his head, he lowered his head to your neck sucking on your sweet spot, his hand descended down to your clit rubbing it roughly. The cold touch sent a shock to your whole body making you gasp loudly. Kai siphoned a bit of your magic and mumbled something under his breath to make the room silenced.
Suddenly Malachai became rougher with his actions, he laid you on the bed and grabbed a nearby dagger holding it at your underwear, Kai sliced it open and held it up with the dagger tossing it aside.
' Hey !! that was my favorite one !! '
' Shh you wouldn't want to wake my parents .. '
Kai said in a low raspy tone while winking at you knowing that they weren't able to hear anything but their own snores. Malachai unclasped your bra throwing it somewhere in the room, he stared at your body licking his lips to the mere sight of it .
On your chest, Malachai engraved his initials, you winced at the pain only for him to suck on the blood . Kai removed himself from his boxers and walked to a box that had loads of protection.
When you saw the box you thought you just one of his play toys that he can just toss around. He slid it on before walking back to you, inserting it in with no warning. You gasped at the length causing you to arch your back.
Each thrust hit the g spot making you moan back to back, Kai observed you each time, if you didn't like it you would scrunch your nose but if you did like it, you would grip his sheets.
It was rare for you to not like it he is just perfect. You felt yourself getting close and the thrusts became sloppier than ever, Malachai kept a tough act on until he eventually gave up and groaned whenever.
You guys came together on the spot, morning creeped in on you guys and you heard the birds starting to chirp. Without wasting time you guys went back into your old clothes and went outside like nothing happened only to see Josette making her morning coffee.
You went out first to not cause suspicion.
' Where were you all morning ? I woke up and you were gone so I just went down. '
' Ohh uh.. I went to the bathroom to get ready. '
' Yeah but your pants are backwards. '
Jo winked at you before returning to her breakfast, not long after Kai walked out acting all tired like he worked a night shift.
' Kai are you actually tired or are you tired after you messed around with my lovely best friend. '
Malachai threw his hands up in defense while you and Jo laughed at him.
' By the way, your little noise cancelling spell didn't actually work and you are lucky mom and dad slept through it all. '
Kai's face just became even more red while setting his hands down, his other siblings came down the stairs some mocking his sounds and some stayed silent.
You held Olivia in your arms because she was absolutely the cutest child you have ever seen, she made stupid faces at Kai at the table while you fed her.
Malachai came behind you in the kitchen while you were pouring orange juice for Olivia and Lukas.
' You know maybe one day our children will look like that. '
' Keep dreaming Malachai . '
' I won't dream but I'll sure manifest. '
He picked up Luke's cup and drank straight from it in front of Luke's face, Kai came up from his knees and kissed you before walking away leaving you speechless.
His other siblings watching in the doorway ready to ask for God knows what.
You poured another cup for Luke and gave the twins their cups before getting picked up.
The Parker Family/Gemini Coven + Sheila/Bonnie Bennett connection might be my biggest TV Roman Empire ever. They were the best thing about TVD S6 to the point where it's easy to forget what the other characters (Damon, Tyler, and Alaric exlduded) were up to in that season. And that there were even other storylines outside the Kai/Prison World of it all, even though the PWs only took up just over a handful of episodes.
There's so much lore here, so many connections. The way magic was so important, and how it was a way for all these characters to connect. The pain, the suffering, the POWER.
Ugh, I think TVD, for the most part, takes up space in my head as wasted potential. I want to give it a re-watch just to make sure I'm not crazy for feeling this way because I haven't fully re-watched it in a very, very long time; I only go back to random episodes, specifically S1 and S2 episodes. But yeah, this storyline was IT. Don't know what the writers (*cough cough* Julie Plec) were thinking not doing more with it.
I wanted to see more of jo and bonnie talking or spending time together talking about magic because i don't remember if we ever got any private conversations with just them 🤔 being that they both have experience with kai and jo knew her grandmother and we got nothing from all these connections what was the point of it all when they didn't use any of this in the last seasons and as far as i know legacies didn't bring up this connection either
The house is filled with magic and full of paint will Kais father whisper to his wife there babies with be strong Kai is watching from the shadows waiting.
The house had become a nursery before the babies even arrived. The air, once sharp with the smell of old parchment and the heavy, static charge of ancestral magic, now smelled of lavender and fresh paint.
Kai stood in the shadow of the cracked dining room door, his body held perfectly still. He wasn't hiding; he was observing. Through the gap, he saw his father, Joshua, kneeling on the rug in front of Sangeeta. Joshua’s hands—the same hands that had once slammed grimoires shut in Kai’s face—were resting with a terrifying tenderness on his mother’s growing belly. He was whispering to the skin, his voice a low, melodic hum that resonated with a blessing Kai hadn't been allowed to hear in years.
"They’re going to be strong," Joshua murmured. "Perfect balance. The Coven's true heart."
Kai’s grip tightened on the doorframe. He felt a cold, oily slick of resentment slide down his throat. He wasn't looking at his parents; he was looking at the future that was actively erasing him.
"Kai? What are you doing?"
He didn't jump. He just turned his head slowly, the "Mask" sliding into place with a practiced, jagged ease. Jo was standing behind him, clutching a shopping bag from a high-end baby boutique. A tiny, lemon-yellow knit cap poked out from the top.
"Just watching the miracle of life, Jo," Kai drawled, his voice a dry, papery whisper. "It’s a real tear-jerk. Dad’s currently auditioning for the role of 'Loving Parent.' I think he’s a bit of a miscast, personally, but the critics in the womb seem to love it."
Jo’s expression shifted from surprise to that pinched, weary disappointment that had become her default. She didn't offer a witty comeback. She didn't even try to laugh. "You’re being bitter again. It’s been months, Kai. Can’t you just be happy that Mom is healthy? That we’re getting more family?"
"More family," Kai repeated, his eyes dropping to the yellow cap in her hand. "Is that what we're calling them? I thought they were called 'Plan B.' Or 'The Upgraded Models.'"
"Stop it," Jo snapped, her voice low but fierce. She brushed past him, her shoulder hitting his with a solid thud that she didn't apologize for. She walked into the room, her face transforming instantly into a mask of warmth. "Mom! Look what I found at that shop in town. They’re organic cotton."
Kai watched from the hallway as Jo knelt beside their father. She was part of the circle now. She was folding tiny clothes, talking about names, and laughing at the way the "miracles" kicked. She had moved into the light, and in doing so, she had left him in a darkness that was no longer just lonely—it was becoming predatory.
He looked at his own hands. They felt heavy. Lethal. He didn't just want to siphon the magic from the walls anymore; he wanted to reach into that circle and tear the warmth right out of it.
He didn't hate the babies. He didn't even know them. What he hated was the way Jo looked at them—with a loyalty she used to reserve for him. He hated that she was willing to be a sister to them while he was still standing right here, rotting in the hallway.
He didn't say another word. He turned away from the door and walked toward his room, his footsteps silent on the expensive rug. The humor was gone. The sarcasm was just a thin veneer over a growing, sociopathic clarity.
If the house was full of light, he would just have to be the one to turn it off.
The day the twins were brought home, the house didn't just feel full; it felt crowded. Every hallway was blocked by a stroller, a bassinet, or a relative cooing over the "future of the Gemini."
Kai stood in the doorway of the nursery, his shadow stretching long across the soft, cream-colored carpet. Inside, the scene was a tableau of everything he had been denied. Joshua was sitting in a rocking chair, cradling one of the infants—Luke—with a look of such profound peace that it made Kai’s skin crawl. Jo was standing by the changing table, expertly swaddling Olivia, her movements confident and maternal.
"She has your eyes, Mom," Jo whispered, her voice thick with a genuine, sickeningly sweet affection.
Kai leaned against the doorframe, his fingers twitching in his pockets. He felt the hum of the house—the protection wards, the luck charms, the nursery spells—all of it vibrating in a frequency that felt like a scream in his ears.
"Look at that," Kai said, his voice cutting through the quiet like a rusted blade. "The Holy Trinity. Plus two. It’s like a Renaissance painting, if the artist had a thing for beige and betrayal."
Joshua didn't even look up. "Leave, Malachai. You’re upsetting the air."
"Oh, wouldn't want to upset the air," Kai mocked, stepping into the room. He walked toward Jo, his eyes fixed on the small, pink bundle in her arms. "Can I see? Or am I too 'hollow' to be around something so 'whole'?"
Jo stepped back instinctively, pulling the baby closer to her chest. It was a small movement, but to Kai, it was the final door slamming shut. She didn't trust him. She saw him as a threat to the new things she loved. The sister who had promised together forever was now a guard at a gate he wasn't allowed to pass.
"You're scaring her, Kai," Jo said, her voice hard. "Just... go to your room. Please."
Kai stopped. He looked at Jo, then at the baby, then at his father’s back. For the first time in his life, the sarcastic remark died in his throat. The "Mask" didn't just crack; it dissolved, leaving behind a cold, crystalline vacuum.
He looked at the tiny, pulsing vein in the baby’s temple. It was so fragile. So easy to stop.
A dark, heavy urge—something he didn't have a name for yet—began to bloom in the base of his skull. It wasn't just anger. It was a cold, logical conclusion. If these two didn't exist, the "Plan B" would be gone. If they were gone, Joshua would have to look at him again. If they were gone, Jo would have no one left to love but him.
The thought didn't feel evil to him. It felt like balance. It felt like a siphoner’s version of justice. He imagined his hands around those small, soft throats, taking not just their magic, but their very breath, until the house was quiet again. Until he was the only one left.
He felt a strange, terrifying calm wash over him. The jealousy was gone, replaced by a singular, focused intent. He realized then that he didn't need their love, and he didn't need their Coven. He just needed them to be gone.
"You're right, Jo," Kai whispered, his voice sounding hollow and metallic, even to his own ears. He took a step back, a slow, terrifyingly empty smile spreading across his face. "I should go. I have a lot of... planning to do. Big things. Very 'transitional' stuff."
He turned and walked out, his footsteps echoing in the hallway like a heartbeat. As he reached the top of the stairs, he looked back at the nursery one last time.
Apparently, Jo(+Kai) and Abby are the same age; they were born 1972. So when Jo says she trained with Sheila Bennett, she would also have been around Abby. Hell, depending on when exactly, she could have been at Abby and Rudy's wedding
