Mini Eagle and mini Condor in the timeout chair for fighting. Again. One of these little monsters had the foresight to stash some toys in the cushions and I’m honestly not sure which one. 9 ½ years! If my timeline is accurate, (and honestly, the show is all over the place) this is one year after Joe’s parents are assassinated, and two years after Ken’s mother dies. Easter eggs! This sketch is full of them. Supposedly the first cartoon takes place in the year 2001, which would make these two 80’s/90's kids, and that means they had awesome cartoons. Alternate universes and such! 😆

Step one was to capture the characters in essence. Step two, is to make sure their stylization matches. Also a thing far more challenging than I thought it would be. Hah! Imagine that. While Ken occasionally has the potential to be a complete asshole, Joe both excels and takes pride in being one all the time. And I'm not just saying that because it took me 4 wasted sheets of sketchbook paper to get this far. His body language is extremely guarded, and he really wants to fold his arms, but I'm not letting him because I want that 2 on his chest to be visible. In his defense, every single time he goes out of his way not to be a total jerk, things go horribly for him. Like that time he saved a puppy and got shrapnel in his head for it, and then his idiot teammates decided to put him in a giant centrifuge to remove it, which it didn't. okay so its like, when people eventually climax it comes thru the shaft right, i think that's what my friend was trying to get at was that the "balls"/extremists produce a lot of ideas that eventually the "shaft"/centrists take the brunt of when everything boils over. i think it kind of breaks down when you consider what the ideas' penis counterpart is but then again. this is called penis theory
