Saturday’s make me think of the vibe in Greenwich village, Manhattan, which makes me think of John’s Pizza - undoubtedly the best pizza I’ve had to date! 🍕 I dream of this pizza! I dream of going back to John’s Pizza on Bleecker street. It’s honestly not much to look at from the outside - it’s humble. Then on the inside, it’s tiny and the paneling and booths have names and initials carved into the wood by its customers. I admittedly, was feeling unsure. Then I went to the bathroom and saw photos of its regulars - everyone from Pacino to NYFD heroes. If it’s good enough for Pacino... But then came the smells of garlic and tomato 🍅 sauce. Things started to look up. But what convinced me was the taste! Omg! The taste of that pizza! It’s fired in brick ovens, using the same recipe that was used in 1929. When we got there we were the first customers and within minutes, they were full. I went past one Saturday a few months later and there was a queue going up the toad to get in! By the way - they do not sell by the slice. You have to boys whole, gigantic pizza and believe me - it’s worth it. Needless to say, I’m going back when I visit NYC again. #johnspizza #johnsofbleeckerstreet #bleeckerstreet #newyork #manhattan #westvillage #nyfoodie #nypizza #pizza #italianamericanfood #nycpizza #instafoodgram #instafoodie #foodporn #foodies #foodiesofinstagram #travelingfoodie #foodiegoals (at John's of Bleecker Street) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx37jcEjy1Y/?igshid=sxogslbmhpjw
